World Under 17 Hockey Challenge could be fun this year.
A new goal today and another very promising -96 guy, Rasmus Andersson, with a hatty for Malmö. His offensive potential looks promising. The Andersson brothers are doing fine, Rasmus might be even better than Calle.

R. Andersson could actually have made the Allsvenskan team but then he got a concussion and missed the start of the season. Strong comeback by him.
Jakub Vrána made his comeback yesterday (having not played a single game since last season) against Huddinge (J20), and scored two goals. Pretty damn good start, if you ask me! It would be awesome if he'd dominate J20 Superelit like he did J18 Elit last season.

He will be a force in J20. If you put up 4+4 in U18 WC as -96 born ur pretty good. Another goal for him today btw.

David Pastrnak (CZE) and Kevin Fiala (SUI), both 96-born, are also doing really well. William Nylander is also putting up some good numbers, 12 points in 9 games for him now.
A lot of really good prospects in that game.. Vrana, Nylander, Bristedt, Nielsen, Pastrnak, Lundberg, Högberg, Crus-Rydberg.. And Forsbacka-Karlsson who is a 2015 prospect.
Some great prospects seem to come out of Linköping these days. Jakob Forsbacka Karlsson scored 5+2 today in J18. 22 points in 7 games for him, good size as well.
I wish there were streams for those Linköping-SSK games. Come on SHF, give us a j20 service!
Linköping had 64 shots on goal and lost 3-4 in SO. Vrana G, Crus-Rydberg G, Nylander A. All three of them scored one and missed another in the SO aswell. Kylington had an assist.

The shots didn't really reflect the game, SSK was as good as LHC offensively throughout the game. It could have gone either way but tied after full time was pretty logical.
Nylander has great hands and vision and he's always a threat. Kylington impressed me with a calm and simple game and great first passes out of his own zone.
Of course Jakub Vrana stands out, sick speed, shot and stickhandling. Still plays a little to much for himself but scoring in the way he does -- i guess you're allowed to.

How did Crus-Rydberg look? How has his play looked so far this season?

He looked good, as he has the entire season if you ask me. He's even dishing out hits and blocking shots now so I guess he's matured...
But it's the little things that impress me most. How he can just redirect a puck in the neutral zone and it becomes a perfect pass that opens up the entire ice, or how he can dig out the puck from along the boards and find an open team mate.
His skating is ok, he's not one of the fastest guys of course but I don't think it will keep him from reaching his potential.

Thanks. That's really nice to hear. But how come he hasn't been putting up even more points? Are his line-mates or the defensive assignments holding him back? From what I remember, Bristedt is also a really good player but he's got only 7 pts so far??

Linköping's got a pretty stacked team so he doesn't have to/get to play really big minutes. His linemates, Bristedt and Russell, are really good players so that's not a problem, that line seems to have a good chemistry as well. I think that line will keep putting up a good amount of points trough the season.
hmm..wonder why Nylander is not selected to U17 Regionscamp? Wasnt selected to Team 17 vs Finland earlier either.
That is weird. I just hope there is no attitude issues or that he has decided to play for the US in the future. Hopefully he is on the U18 team for the November tournament in Ann Arbor.
