Big win. If you can say that about an AHL game in October.

It's ok.
I didn't want to watch them celebrate.
I would much rather watch a revolving star that reminds me that the Stars won.

Think Eakin got 1st star, Jordie either 2nd or 3rd.

It amuses me that this GDT scored more replies than most senior Stars GDTs do.

We had several 400/500 games last season. Even had multiple 600 ones.

Was thinking the same thing.

This was pretty damn fun though. If Firstrow/HairyBearSports continue to have streams this could be a great way to ease the pain of the lockout.

I'm pretty proud of us, our small little Stars board managed a 16 page GDT for AHL hockey. That's pretty rare from what I've seen: even a fanbase as huge as the Rangers only had like 2 pages for their Whale game today. Then again there were lots of other things going on in NYC sports at the time.. but the point still stands.

I'll try to keep streaming the games for which there aren't any public streams available, which should continue as long as my hockey withdrawal remains at its current level.

looking back at the game, you have to think that if Jeff Skinner ever starts playing for that team they'd be a legitimate contendor for the title as long as he's in the lineup.

I know I'm back tracking quite a bit here, but I'd like to clear up hybrid icing. It's actually a lot more clear cut than this; if the defender beats the offensive player to the dots, an icing is blown. If the offensive player and defender get to the dots at the same time, they call the icing off.

Hybrid icing is something that should've happened a while ago.

It helps that AHL games tend to be clustered around the weekend even moreso than NHL ones.

Honestly I'm having just as much fun watching CP as watching Dallas. But I've always been more interested in the young players/prospects side of things.

How about Cody Eakin? Eakin was exactly the kind of prospect I'd look at before and get jealous that he was part of another organization. Why couldn't the Stars have a prospect like that? Now they do.

Ya that was a fun game to watch, I missed the second period because I wanted to see The Walking Dead premiere, but came back just in start for the third period.

Campbell stood strong in net during the shootout and Eakin was beastly all game.

If they can get the power play turned around and stop with the turnovers will be a great season!
