Noticed Komarov taking a bad angle at erie defender that led to a goal, he's probably not acclimated to the AHL/NA style of play but that was not good.

Has anyone had a chance to go through the Marlies schedule. It's absolutely ridiculous. Marlies start of the season playing 4 of 5 at home, then on an 8 game road trip. In February and March, the Marlies have a 10 game home stand lasting almost a month then back on the road for 7. Is this a typical AHL team schedule or did the Marlies just get screwed in the scheduling department.

Greg McKegg is looking really good so far. He seems to have gained a step in his stride.

Typical.

Saves some teams money by just going on long road trips, rather than going places, coming back home and then going to other places every other day.

At least that's what I'm led to believe.

Definitely need AHL superstar Aucoin to start having an impact on the PP along with the other guys. 0/11 on the PP is really unacceptable to be quite honest.

It's the beginning of the year so let's hope Eakins can have at least a semi-respectable PP this year.

How about the even strength going 0-fer 2 games?

Perhaps it shows the same problem, the team needs room to score. Pretty on the outside no hands on the inside.

I'm not worried about even strength, last year it was really good and I think it'll be improved with the additions of this year.

What needs to improve is the PP, which was near dead last.

I guess you gotta take the good (one of the best defensive teams) with the bad.

And the season is only 2 games in.

Quite possibly they just aren't in good condition and that's why they were so dreadful yesterday, 2 games in 2 days too much for them.

They scored 3 PP goals on Saturday, but yesterday from the bits I watched I think they were outmuscled in front of the net. Seemed to be quite a few loose pucks that they just couldn't get to.

Didn't watch the game yesterday but it sure sounds like they weren't quite ready compared to Saturday.

As you said, it's a long season. Nothing to be really mad or worried about just yet.

This powerplay is improved, making tic tac toe passes, plus alot of movemnt, they just need time to gel, i think kadri and colborne will have big years, Our penalty kill will be in top 5 like last 2 years, plus powerplay somewhere in top 15 IMO

Read in the Sun today, Devane and Ross will likely see some action soon. Both are itching to get some game time.

It would definitely be nice to have Frattin and Ross/Devane in the line-up soon. Get that extra grit/intimidation and pest presence along with Frattin's snipeshow abilities. I'm sure if we had Frattin yesterday we could've capitalized on at least one of those powerplays.

game 1 of the year was the first real game they've played in months, I'm not surprised in the least that they had some dead legs the next day in game 2.

Want to see how aggravating Ross actually is. Devane's hand must have been only bruised, both need playing time to develop. Mckegg may be the odd man out.

They should make Deschamps a healthy scratch for next game and put in Ross. He didn't play well at all the last two games.

How so? The way I see it, MC Kegger has played himself into the "top 6" of the team so far, so he's not going anywhere unless he gets injured. Ross would definitely benefit from the lockout being over, as Komarov would go to the leafs and that would open up a more definite spot for Ross, as Komarov seems to be basically the player we want Ross to become, give or take a bit of offense. Devane will definitely get his time to prove himself here, as our forward group has a lot of heart, but not many guys who can really go out there and intimidate.

Did Erie obtain magic pills?

It was their 3rd game in 3 nights... plus travel.
