Their offense is actually pretty good. Flacco isn't bad and Ray Rice is a stud. They're up 2 games on the Bengals and 2.5 on the Steelers so they're still a strong contender to win their division. But in terms of being a Superbowl threat they're probably done.

I'm not saying the Ravens offense is bad. I just think Ray Rice covers for Flacco a ton, and people talk him up to be much more than he actually is. He's a solid QB, far better than we have had pre-Cutler... but he isn't a game changing QB like some of the talking heads say he is.

Right when I think the Ravens are out of the "class of the AFC" the Pats fall apart in the 2nd half and the Texans lay an egg.

The NFC is wide open though. The AFC has at least an idea of who's where.

I have no idea where anyone in the AFC is, and I think your point about the Pats and Ravens only supports that. Both conferences this year are wide open, and to me will just be a matter of who gets hot at the right time.

That was ridiculously awesome. Had no confidence going in but knew they had the talent. Glad they finally showed how good they can be. A statement game that gets them on the right track. If they play like that or close to it, they can easily be 6-3 going into the bye week. Happy they aren't 2-4. I'd be extremely concerned.

Packers offense is back, that is not good. It's going to be tough fight down to the end.

If the Bears want to establish themselves as a contender, theres only one way to go and its through the best including any division rivals. No gimmes.

Good for the Packers. Too much talent.

Good thing the Bears have a standings cushion. Problem is that they still have SF and Houston left on the schedule, while GB has already gotten them out of the way. @SF will be an incredibly difficult game. Vs. HOU is more than winnable though, especially given Houston's quite pedestrian secondary and loss of Cushing.

not worried at all. We just need to W at home against the Packers & Lions. This would help us in a big big way

The way it stands, the NFC playoff picture is going to consist of

Falcons
Bears
Giants
Niners
Packers
Vikings (maybe frauds)
Seahawks (maybe frauds)

I just can't see any other teams making it. Cardinals are complete frauds as are the Eagles. I don't see the Cowboys or Rams going on a run. So 6 spots for 7 teams. I think the Niners, Falcons, and Giants are locks to win their divisions.

Falcons I'm guessing will have a 1 or 2 seed, unless Ryan gets injured. I'm not saying they're a top 2 team in the NFC. Hell, I'd take us, the Giants, Niners, and Packers over them in a playoff game.

But, it wouldn't shock me if they took 4 games from the Bucs and Panthers, and then split with the Saints.

I think the Vikings are pretty legit. Ponder looks like a completely different person out there this year. Not sold on the Seahawks... Not scared of the Cardinals with their QB situation, and don't see that changing mid-season.

I don't think the Seahawks are frauds at all.

The Cardinals offensive line is staggeringly bad. They won't be there in the end. I'm also wondering if the Giants and Vikings have shown the blue print of how to beat the Niners....stop the run game, make Alex Smith beat you. Seems like more often than not, he won't.

Yeah, still not sold he is anything more than a game manager even with those weapons. Also not sure why they don't utilize Manningham more...

Anyone know why LaMichael James hasn't been playing? I really wanted to see him behind that offensive line and see if he could do anything... It's not like he was a wasted pick, they used their second rounder on him. All I saw was that he was a healthy scratch week 1, haven't seen anything else on him since then, and don't think he is injured.

They have a legit defense but I don't think they can consistently win with Wilson at QB. They have wins of 2, 4, and 1 point. One of their wins came on a ridiculously bad call. They've lost to Arizona (frauds) and St. Louis (bad). They are @San Fran, @Det, and home vs Min their next 3 games. I think they could lose all of those games.

Sat at a bar from about 12pm EST to 8pm EST watching football. Got my full dose, thankfully, because I have zero interest in MNF tonight. Will probably watch a bit of Peyton, but that's about it.

Bears could be a one loss team going into the Packers game. Texans and 49ers look very beatable.

No chance they are 9-1, some team will jump up and bite them...its just the nature of football.

From RotoWorld:

Quote:
Bears signed TE Brody Eldridge.
He'll take RB Kahlil Bell's roster spot. A fifth-round pick in 2010, Eldridge was suspended the first four games of the season after getting popped for PEDs. A pure blocker, Eldridge's name won't often pop up on the stat sheet.
