No, it isn't a fake account. That's the real deal and it was created about 2 weeks ago.

doesn't mean it's fake. he couldn't use it in the past if we're going with the assumption that devils players can't use social media.

that's fine.

you're off on the date it was created though. the one i'm looking at says it was made 2 weeks ago on oct 5th. must be a different page.

https://www.facebook.com/IlyaKovalch...ref=ts&fref=ts

edit: most likely, this is like martin brodeur's page, where his brother runs it for him.

No, you aren't talking about the right one. http://www.facebook.com/IlyaKovalchuk17?ref=ts&fref=ts is the one your talking about and it never claimed to be Kovalchuk and it was connected to Kovy during the regular season when he was raising money for the KHL. However, the one he just created is real.

He's still got a point in almost every other game! Didn't someone mention bringing over Tikhonov to play with the Devils? His rights are still owned by the Coyotes.

Anyone who wants to be with the Devils, and feels privileged to play with a player like Kovalchuk. Numerous people have states bonehead Zach felt slighted when we signed Kovy to the big deal.

I don't think athletes care who they play with as long as the $ signs are big enough.

There's still some athletes that wanna play with good players, and don't just care about money. Tarasenko stated outright that he wanted to return to the KHL to play with Kovalchuk.

No he didn't. You're blowing up his quote. Playing with Kovalchuk is one of the reasons he returned, not the reason.

So maybe he did have other reasons. Maybe I'm blowing up your quote too, but you don't think athletes wanna play with good athletes? Not every athlete chases dollar signs, and goes to just any team with a bunch of jabroni's playing on it.

To my pleasant surprise, there was live TV on the flight from San Fran yesterday, and I was able to watch the CSKA game on ESPN2. Skating was fast as hell, very impressed with the puck skills, defensive play was less tight than in the NHL though.

Oh, I never realized that not not all athletes are more competitive than they are greedy.

Video of Kovy being interviewed after the game against Lev. He basically says their crowd sucks.

It depends on the player. Most of them chase the money, but some would take a slight hit in the pocket to play with better teammates and thereby have a better chance to win. It's obvious which ones we respect more, but that's not always entirely fair.

No surprise there. Lev is NOT a traditional team. Unlike teams such as Slavia or Sparta (Prague) or Slovan Bratislava, they don`t have their own fan club, they have no history, no identity and simply put, there is no one truly supporting them. Yes, I`m sure that Czechs root for them, if nothing else, simply because it`s their one and only team in the KHL, so it kinda represents the country as well, but that`s that.

SKA–Amur 4-1 after the first period. Kovalchuk has an assist so far.

These are some high scoring games!

To correct what I said yesterday about Kovy having almost a point every game, I meant he almost has TWO points per game!

Is it just me, or the SKA cheerleaders look better than the Devils dancers?

It seems Kovy doesn't have a lot of goals, but looks at his shots on goal, and look at Malkin's. Malkin has 3 goals on 65 shots! Ovechkin has 4 on 55 shots! Kovy has 5 on only 25 shots before this game!

I don't put much on shooting percentage, because I can shoot into the goalie's crest 65 times, and not score. It seems Kovy has adjusted the best here in the KHL. He also has the best plus minus of all of them. +9 before today's game!
