Because Al Iafrate does not approve of empty netters.

He is the benchmark for which all free wallets the Leafs find will be compared to (*most points for an undrafted d-man in NHL history). If that makes any sense....I'm tired

5 assist night for Rielly, who is now up to 12 points in 8 games! Missed the game myself, can any Moose Jaw fans give a report?

Statistically he had an unreal game. Three primary assists (two of which were the only assist on the goal) and two secondary assists. Also finished +5 in the 9-0 win. Seems like he had a pretty dominant game. Would love to hear how the rest of his game looked from a Moose Jaw fan.

I thought it was 17 in 9?

Edit: NVM, someone must have added a game and 5 points to the 8 and 12..... Saw it on HockeyBuzz

Morgan was buzzing all night long, had 2-3 other great opportunities to add some goal totals to his stats. His 4th assist was a thing of beauty.. end-to-end rush and a perfect pass to Fioretti

Just amazing! I was doing my usual pre-bedtime rounds (checking the OHL/WHL scores/checking up on Leafs prospects), and saw Rielly put up five apples in a game that looks like an absolute slaughter-fest! haha Atta boy!

Not a Moose Jaw fan but I did catch the entire game yesterday( albeit my 1st one of WHL), and he looked really solid throughout the game, He was consistently making plays from his own end, made solid crisp passess, and his puck-handling ability was brilliant( near elite from my viewings) but what really impressed me about him was his ability to play defence, for a guy who is not really known for his defensive play, he sure made a lot of great plays and excellent reads in his own end.

Overall, he controlled the tempo of the game from the back-end and wasn't at all intimate going up against likes of McNeill and the raiders first line.

Though, i must say Fioretti guy is one helluva player, he was man possessed throughout the game and he was hustling every shift.

Was at the game when he produced 5 apples....he is an exceptional talent and was the player I hoped we would select at the draft....I have watched 4 games thus far. I will attend many more seeing as how there is no NHL to watch.

Tonight the Jaw lost 5-0 and Rielly played well he was an even on the night and played a lot. Moose Jaw is just ok as a team....they are young between the pipes and it will be a up and down season for them this year. They will miss Morgan a great deal while he is at the WJC.

I spoke with Morgan after the game tonight....first time I have seen him since he got drafted. He is pumped to be a Leaf......I was waiting to speak with another ex Hound Messier. Messier was hoping for a better result against his former team!

Yes it is, I have not seen the official game sheet yet but I do believe that I'm correct.

Yeah, him and his partner Kendall McFaull both even on the night in a 5-0 loss.

A great positive that comes from a negative! Looking good so far!

Lets not place unfair expectations on the kid, he's just the next Leetch

neither of those one-dimensional guys.

We'll have Gardiner and Rielly both getting a regular shift for the Leafs next season. That's going to be fun to watch.

hell, maybe even this season if there is one.

I'm very excited to see what this kid can do at an NHL level. He clearly thinks 2 steps ahead of the competition at his level, so seeing him against NHL players will be interesting. IMO he will get around 1.2 ppg this season and there will be no need for him to play in Junior any longer. On a side note Gardiner is dominating the AHL right now.

Seeing pairings involving these three will be a treat to watch.
