My best friend in elementary school was a Jehovah's Witness, I'm sure that there are good and bad people belonging to every religion, and good and bad people who don't believe in any higher being. The kid is a leader and a hell of a hockey player, that's all that should matter to anyone here.

He should be back a week before the WJC gets together. Fingers crossed.

After being off for 4-6 weeks? Yeah that'll be great.

Sigh.

edit - (just to clarify, that sigh is directed at the situation, not at you!)

Potential (probable) full season lockout, Katz and the city can't come to an agreement on the New Arena deal (although i expect that to be done sooner than later) and now Klefbom who was apparently developing as well as can be expected is now going to miss key development time.
Just ****ing wonderful.
I just hope that he can get back in time for the WJC. I don't ever trust an injury report so 4-6 weeks could mean a couple of months easy.

haha, totally eh?

unbelievable how often this has happened to oilers players over the past few years.... "he's okay, likely miss a game or two" -> "oh, turns out that the injury is a little worse than we first though. player will miss a few weeks, but it isn't anything too serious, we just want to make sure he gets healthy" -> "so it looks like the player will require surgury and be out for the remainder of the season"

What a shame, he was really coming into his own and now he'll be behind the rest of the league when he returns.

Well what were we all expecting, something good happening to the oilers is impossible. No way a prospect can be this good out of the gate and not get injured. Im waiting to see which star oilers gets injured in the AHL

Hm, 4 weeks would be mid November, 6 weeks would be late November. Plenty in time for the WJC. It's not like he's gonna have to win his spot, he's probably the captain.

Who was that Oiler player from several years ago ?...

He was rumored to be hurt, but well enough to play in a highly anticipated back-to-back weekend series.

But then suddenly we were told that he would be a gametime decision.

Then he was a scratch for both games, so everyone wanted to interview him.

But then the medical staff kept saying "no interviews please, but we assure you he's ok, and in good spirits".

Then people saw a car speeding away from the arena with the player propped up against the back seat, which was the last sighting of him before it was revealed several days later that he was actually dead...

Oh yeah - Bernie Nicholls.

I was once at a hotel, but left immediately after I found out it was the JW Marriott.

Imagine an entire building full of them, trying to convert you...

We lost the last game 3-4 away against HV71. A very even game but their 3 goals in PP gave them the win. We need Klefbom period.

Sucks about the loss, if I remember correctly, you aren't a big fan of HV71. I hope he's back to help you guys asap.

Overall, is there a noticeable difference in how the team plays with and without Klefbom? If so, how would you describe it?
