I'm not gonna get suckered by Bettman and the owners but if this is true, then the PA needs to accept this. If they don't then I might just start to shift my stance away from them.

@TGfireandice: Also told NHL proposal was comprehensive, including length of salary, free agency age, salary arbitration, etc. Not just split of HRR.

@Real_ESPNLeBrun: Am told in NHL offer there is a proposal designed to "protect" players for salary reductions in the initial years

Don't know details yet, but from what I'm told NHL proposal in some way protects player salaries as is in 2012-13. Interested to see how.

NHL at 50% or close enough.

Accept it with negotiation or basically start camps but weve got **** to work out before the first pay check.

One of the Fehr's said it would take about 6hrs once the revenue split was decided. If HRR is the same and players salaries are protected in some way for this season then I dont see why this shouldnt be done in a matter of days.

Fehr is a *******. Wouldn't put anything past him. The big names of the league have a chance to play somewhere like Crosby, Giroux, even Kovy, Malkin, Ovechkin. Crosby hasn't yet, but it's easy for him to get a job somewhere. The guys like Carter, Bernier, or even Krys Barch. The role players can't get work anywhere else, and they don't make nearly as much. You don't think those guys would accept this deal?

To me, that says he was given something with a solid enough foundation to build something off of.

The less initial posturing, as with previous proposals, the better.

Agreed. For the most part I've been siding with the players, but if the PA rejects this I might have to side with the butt. As much as I swore I wouldn't sink to!
