Great signing, Cutler needs the help and Davis isn't anything special.

I have them beating SF for sure now. Stopping Gore is the new blueprint on them, and the Bears have the #1 rushing defense.

Another solid signing. Still looking for that pass-catching TE but I'm not going to get greedy with the team as good as it already is.

Gore is good enough to overcome defenses focusing on him too though. San Francisco will still be in the playoffs and will still be dangerous, even if they were better last year.

Won't hurt. Bell is pretty useless with Forte and Bush healthy. I guess we'll just have to wait and see if he manages to see the field. Although it'd be nice to see Evan Rodriguez hit the field.

He's not an elite RB. He's very good, but not elite.

This guy can block but outside of that he is completely worthless

Davis sucks I agree but at end of day Bears need a real TE for this offense

This move means very little ,, Hardly a great signing

Bears should call up the Jaguars and try to trade for TE Marcedes Lewis

Capable pass catching TE who would thrive with a real QB again. In his final year with Garrard he was having a breakout year

Since then he has been playing with no QB and at end of day the Jags are in rebuild and he is 28 yrs old so by the time they are back competitive he will either be departing FA or gone

Yeah, not gonna happen.

Like I said before the season, this extended trade deadline won't mean a thing.

The best TE in the draft is this guy:

No team is going to make a great signing in week 6. All of the good players are on rosters. This guy is here to fill in for Rodriguez as he gets back from his knee injury.

Cutler having more protection is a win for me seeing as Davis isn't that great and our achilles heal is definitely the line. If they don't use him, then it is of no use but they will IMO.

Honestly, why not just play an extra offensive lineman at TE?

Because tight ends are faster than lineman. They do put TE's as lineman in goal line or short yardage downs where its clear they aren't throwing the ball. A 290 lbs lineman isn't going shake a line backer like tight ends can.

I'm talking about going no tight end and using the extra man to double team guys like Matthews.

Because TEs are faster and ergo better blockers down the field...

Don't know. Probably because it changes the way defenses play their keys. Need to have the option of that guy running down the seam to hold the linebackers. Plus tight ends go down the field a lot to pick off linebackers and sometimes safeties in the run game.

Rivers 4 INT's + 2 fumbles ( 2 TO's returned for TD"s)

Chargers blow 24 pt 2nd half lead

Broncos D turned on their beast mode and we just saw the quintessential Peyton Manning.

Went to college in Indiana, and I always used to say that the two most popular people in that state are Jesus Christ and Peyton Manning, and not necessarily in that order. Performances like that are the reason why.

Those Rivers 2nd half INT's were terrible

Broncos D showed up in 2nd half but some of those throws were Henry Burris like
