If you change the date on the earth cam and go to the interior view, you can see as of today that the ICE IS DOWN AND PAINTED!! same logo as last year. Lets hope its put to use soon.

In the normal earth cam view (Sept 25) someone's working on my seats...the uncovered 200s on the left side.

Ah, yep. Is that how the stadium will look like during games though? The lighting is still pretty poor, and I thought that was gonna be fixed? (Or maybe I'm just loosing my mind.)

I can't wait for the new scoreboard to be hung. It should be one of the best in the league!

New scoreboard?

The current one is only about 5 years old I believe....

What are they replacing it with?

The garden has had 3 different scoreboards since the 91 renovation, the original was replaced in 2001-ish to accommodate 4 HDTV screens and color matrix boards, and again in 2007 which is the one that currently hangs.

Now now...only 1/8 of the arena won't be able to see the jumbotron because of the bridges. At least be fair about it.

It looks really nice. However, I really hate the fact that the first rows of seats don't go all the way down to the glass in the corners. I don't understand if their going to spend all that $$$ on a massive renovation, they leave the stands looking like that. It looks like a mess on TV, it looks unfinished and it makes for the worst sightlines in the near corners.

That has always bothered me at the Garden that you can't see the action in the near corners. you have to be behind one of the nets in order to see the entire ice.
I also watched a video on youtube where someone videotaped during play from some pretty darn expensive seats in the lower bowl, and the sightlines down there were not great to say the least, much do to the elevated corners.

It was upgraded/replaced much more recently than that...

Hey guys...no, the powers that be did not "off" me after I last posted photos from inside during the demo back in June. I have been jumping to different sites and spent less time at the Garden this summer. However, I am happy to report that I will be back there later for an inspection and will have new photos to share sometime between 10pm tonight and 7am tomorrow...stay tuned. LGR!!

You must be mistaken, because the scoreboard was replaced in the 91 renovation, and was the same until October of 2000 when HDTV screens were added to the existing scoreboard.

New York Rangers Fans may have trouble believing their eyes

Not because of action on the ice, but what they're seeing above it.

Madison Square Garden now boasts the first-ever High Definition (HDTV) scoreboard system, which includes four huge screens on its main center-hung structure and 150 smaller screens scattered throughtout the building."
It has been the same since then, and the ENTIRE thing will be completely replaced next year with a true state of the art scoreboard.
