Has anyone tried NBA League Pass International before?

I read some good things about it and decided to buy it for the season. It's usually 99.99 for the whole season but you can get it for 84.99 with the promo code.

Holy crap is Jeremy Lin overpaid

He got shut down by Corey Joseph yesterday, a player who is still trying to crack Pop's rotation

I wouldn't put a ton of stock in a preseason game.

Lin is still working through the same knee issues as last season too.

It is pretty sad how many people who know he still has knee issues are ready to not just think he fails, but hope beyond hope he tears the Rockets team apart. I find it funny that the same media who created the Linsanity are now totally ready to watch it explode.

"Linsanity" was probably the worst part about last season. Thankfully he's out of New York so even if he does well, people won't talk about it as much.

From what I've seen, most of the people criticizing Lin right now are talking about his play on defense. He might be able to use the knee injury excuse for his overall play right now but he was a terrible defensive player even when he was 100% healthy last season. He just can't play defense.

I think Lin will surprise a lot of people this year, in a good way.

I can see a line of 16/4/7.5

Check out Mitch Lawrence's article from the NY Daily News. Now, I wouldn't take his word for anything either, but people are seriously using his column as gospel. I have no problem with people pointing to Lin's lack of D, that is something everyone knew, but this dude calls him out by saying his knee surgery wasn't that big of a deal and must be a slow healer. Some of these people are too busy calling Lin out to include knee injuries take time, the Rockets are a young revamped team who need chemistry, and Lin's first game back since last March had him paired up vs Westbrook.

Obviously I'm not saying how Houston will fare in the future, but shouldn't we give it a bit of time?

I think the Nets are the most likely.

A lot of people seem to forget though that Minnesota was a playoff-caliber team until Rubio went down. If he responds well, that team should be a quality opponent and have a solid chance at a playoff spot.

EDIT: Well, this doesn't do that above statement any justice... http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/85...ks-broken-hand

That franchise can't catch a break. Rubio was already out and now they lose Love. That's gotta hurt. Not having their two best players for the first 15-20 games might be enough to take them out of contention for a playoff spot. The Western Conference is tough and a lot of teams are going to be better this season.

Roy has looked good in camp but you never know when he's going to start feeling pain in his knees. They'll also need Williams to take a big step forward.

Strange considering Ball Don't Lie just had a story about Love and his elbow:

"Love didn't bang it or hyperextend it while playing only the first quarter Friday in Indianapolis. No, he instead slept with his right arm extended off his bed all night Friday and when he awoke Saturday morning, he said he could barely lift a basketball.

"I couldn't shoot it 10 feet," he said. [...]"

"In July 2014, Bryant's $30.4 million, Pau Gasol's $19.2 million, Metta World Peace's $7.7 million, Steve Blake's $4 million and Jordan Hill's $3.5 million will come off the books. There likely won't even be any first-round draft picks filling up the cap, either, as the Lakers have already traded their 2013 first-round pick to Phoenix in the Nash deal."

soooo, who would Lebron play with?

And I like how they paint up LA with the Busses but don't mention Mike Brown or anything dealing with Miami.

He would play with Howard and whoever they would sign with all that money.

That's IF Howard agrees to a deal this summer. And who else would be available in 2014?

I don't know about "available" but both Wade and Bosh will most likely opt out of their deals as well. Then all three will re-sign with the Heat.

Last year ESPN was talking about him returning to Cleveland and now it's the Lakers. LeBron laughed when the media asked him about it. This is what Wade said:

Quote:
"They can go ahead and leave my teammate alone. He's staying here."
Haslem rarely tweets but he had to comment on this LeBron to LA talk as well:

Quote:
@ThisIsUD: Oh and y'all can stop wit dis Bron playin in LA talk. Dat man dade county certified. Once 305 always 305! U can put da house one dat! Lol.

@ThisisUD: By way of Akron of course. Lol.
You might have to read Haslem's tweet a couple of times to understand it but basically he's saying LeBron isn't going anywhere.

Lakers have been having a rough pre-season. Kobe and Nash are really the only guys worth watching. Pau's had his moments, but I really think they won't get going until Dwight hits the court.

Just to let you guys know, the Nuggets were picked 2nd in the west by John Hollinger and 1st in the west by the magazine's preview and basketball prospectus. Watch out.

Howard is having a good game tonight for a guy coming back from back surgery (a few mistake, a few avoidable fumbles, etc), outside of the multiple 3-second violations. The starting 5 as a whole looks good, the bench is still atrocious though. Beyond atrocious, it is abysmal.

Nuggets are underrated and the 3rd best team in the West. Probably 4th best in entire league but they're still a tier below LAL, OKC and MIA.

I love Ty Lawson, BTW.

I'm excited to see how PJIII does on the Thunder team. The kid has pretty good potential(crappy knees IIRC), but coming off the bench for the Thunder squad he should be fine. Interesting to see how they use him.

Not really considering most pundits have them minimum top 4 in the west and some high as #2.

Denver is rated about right where they should be.
