Turris looks much stronger. Just ripped the puck away from that guy in the highlights.

Stick-checked him perfectly(A la NHL13) then outmuscled him for position and roofed it.
The thing about Turris is that he always was strong defensively just was out-muscled most of the time, with added strength, he should be a very competent 2 way threat on a consistent, nightly basis.
The perfect 2nd line center who steps up when Spezza has his off games.

Turris's game tonite against Ässät (Aces) went like this:
OCT 18, 2012: KÄRPÄT @ ÄSSÄT 4 - 3
G 0, A 1, P 1, +/- +0, PIM 2, S 7, TOI 19:09
Kyle's stats after 4 games: 2 + 3 = 5 pts, +/- +3, PIM 2, S 20, average TOI 20:57
Highlights below. Turris's pass at 1:18. Kärpät did the GWG 15 seconds before the end of the game on PK...

Peter Regin will play for Langenthal in the second Swiss league. Media say his contract will be renewed from game to game, so we'll see how long he lasts there. IIRC he's the first NHL player to sign in the second Swiss league.

Game to game is the only contract Regin should ever receive.

Karlsson today. The goal was an empty netter at the end of the third period.
OCT 19, 2012: JOKERIT @ TPS 4 - 2
G 1, A 0, P 1, +/- +2, PIM 0, S 8, TOI 21:57
Erik's stats after 9 games: 3 + 4 = 7 pts, +/- +10, PIM 0, S 71, average TOI 25:41
Highlights to follow.

Reason: There was a correction to Erik's average TOI in SM-liiga.fi

That is absurd. He is putting 8 per game up, That is roughly 25% of the average NHL teams total shots per game.

****, my attempted joke backfired...I thought that was from the single-game line.
71 shots thus far is crazy though. And as I always say, he's pretty much a pass first player. The puck is his whenever he wants it.

His priority:
1.Slap pass, he loves these
2.Shoot, if lane blocked, pass
3.If he doesn't want to pass, and lane is blocked, he'll shoot it through players somehow anyways
I don't remember where, but there was a segment where Karlsson was telling how he played. Basically he tries not shoot at the same place. Makes him unpredictable.

He said last year he likes shooting low because he's unexpected. Scored quite a few five hole goals last year.

Low is good for rebounds too, Greening and Michalek where cleaning up on the PP at the beginning of the last year.
ps. EK leads the league in +/-
/ useless stat ;-).

Rebounds are the best pass in hockey.

I will never forget the first ever scouting report I've heard regarding Karlsson.
I remember a scout saying--to the Ottawa faithful after we drafted him and never knew much-- "You will love this kid, he is an excellent skater and he always gets the puck through which I find to be his best traits."
In my mind, he is the best skating defense man in the league(Arguably skater) as well as the top-shooting defender in the league, in regards to shots on net and scoring goals.
