do you expect an immediate splash, or will he only make minor adjustments?

i would hate the season to start and have to watch this team play with it's holes, low-self esteem, poor special teams, etc.

i just can't figure what might happen when this season actually starts.

it's nice that leafs have a clean slate, but it's hard to imagine they'll be any better than the 25th place finish from last season.

well?

the team that finished 25th last season... wasn't really the same team that destroyed the goals and points with the dynamic duo known as K and J

so i mean dont judge too much on the end season
plus **** will b different with new commander in town Caryle

but i dont think burke will make big changes
who knows though... havent seen a biggie since dion trade

This was confusing to read. Can you re-word what you're trying to say so I can make the title clearer and the options less... Like that?

Burke likes the Jedi-mind trick, which basically tells the league he's about to make a trade, to get others in on whatever bidding might exist to up the price, and to motivate players.

I don't expect anyone to be moved though. No clear #1 Centers out there for the taking and I don't think the Luongo move would make any sense either.

Doesn't make much sense to make an "immediate splash" without a grace period to evaluate your on-ice roster in game action. I don't expect a poignant difference from last year's disaster, but waiting is the pragmatic thing to do.

Maybe he'll trade a Roster player+Deschamps for a #1 goaltender

Now is not the best time to rush into free agent signings and why would Burke trade any key pieces of the core he spent the last few years building? I don't expect any radical changes, acquiring a proven goaltender would be nice but I'm willing to give Reimer another shot and see how the season pans out.

Wish we still had future all-star powerforward Caputi. What a dumb trade.

When you waste your 1st post out of your 2 year HF career on a ForSpareParts thread..

According to other teams scouts/GMs yes.

Yes, means nothing as well.

I think sooner then later he'd have to move a few bodies out of town.
