Yea that was a weird game if I have ever witnessed one. Rivers usually doesn't implode like that. allot more firepower on Denver now with Manning as well so if you give them some life they can make you pay.
Exactly. Easy to go to Vikings games. Some of my best friends live in Minne so I visit there when I can.
I think I'm done with the Chargers. That was brutal.
I changed my avatar I was so upset....
I just started laughing at the end of the game, not much you can do. When Rivers is under pressure he fails 7 times out of 10. Every time he throws a long ball I have to cover my eyes.

That was like..anti-clutch. And we've seen it happen before. I mean some QB's thrive under pressure and get this inner focus to rally and get the job done. Rivers is not one of those guys, he tries to force the plays and it just becomes this ugly tailspin. Folding faster than Superman on laundry day. Falls apart quicker than Lindsey Lohan.

It doesn't help when they let Vincent Jackson walk and flip out the receiving core. Jackson makes an attractive big body target and all of a sudden you have smaller guys getting beat to the spot on routes that DB's are jumping because they don't have fear. Rivers completely **** the bed and for some reason he has regressed last season and its carried over into this season?

What a horrible performance by Canada at World CUp qualifying in Honduras. Yeah, it's a hostile environment but so what. Team basically folds their tent before halftime down 4-0.
I'll will always support this team, but talk of development of high-level soccer in this country (on the men's side anyways) is rubbish. Barring one of the biggest comebacks of all time this team won't even qualify for the final round of World Cup qualifying. That in itself is a joke considering the wealth and resources available in this country.
Can we throw our women's NT out there next time? Seriously, what a complete and total disgrace.

I hear ya. And it starts with how the game is developed at the very bottom of the pyramid.
I'll spare you the 50 page essay on what is fundamentally broken with our developmental system, but just to keep it short and sweet; the idea of national development centres is a poor idea, and funnels lots of good kids out of elite soccer.

Ticked at Soccer Canada right now.
It has been a day and I am now calm enough to post. Sadly I still have no words to describe what happened yesterday.
A complete overhall is obviously required.
I have no idea what a solution is.
Russia 2018 will be the next chance for a World Cup appearance.
Does David Thomson want to help fund a National mens Soccer team and developoment program? Maybe he is a multi-sport kinda guy.
The owner of Cheslea FC has been doing so in Russia.

Russian national team
Abramovich at the World Cup in Germany
Abramovich also played a large role in bringing Guus Hiddink to Russia to coach the Russia national football team.[64] Piet de Visser, a former head scout of Hiddink's club PSV Eindhoven and now a personal assistant to Abramovich at Chelsea, recommended Hiddink to the Chelsea owner.[65] De Visser was also instrumental in the appointment of Hiddink as temporary Chelsea manager for the final months of the 2008–09 season.[66]
National Academy of Football
In addition to his involvement in professional football, Abramovich sponsors a foundation in Russia called the National Academy of Football. The organization sponsors youth sports programs throughout the country and has constructed more than fifty football pitches in various cities and towns. It also funds training programs for coaches, prints instruction materials, renovates sports facilities and takes top coaches and students on trips to visit professional football clubs in England, Holland and Spain. In 2006 the Academy of Football took over the administration of the Konoplyov football academy at Primorsky, near Togliatti, Samara Oblast, where over 1000 youths are in residence, following the death at 38 of its founder, Yuri Konoplev.[67]
Katz is a selfish, spoiled rich billionaire brat. I thank the good Lord our team doesn't have this moron running the show.
Yea Katz has managed to become the new Pocklington of Edmonton without the cups. He has really bungled this deal on the arena. The entire trip to Seattle with the x players squeeze play while looking for more money out of the city could not have been handled worse.....he has the finesse of Jim Balsillie.

Good riddance! I hate Stephen Mandel, as well as every Edmonton city counsellor except the one for Millwoods (can't remember his name), but I think it's absolutely fantastic to see them stick by their word and not proceed on something that the public so clearly opposes. Unfortunately, they didn't put in the same care for public opinion on the airport, and are proceeding with a plan that 90% of people oppose.
This council confuses me to hell. Is Winnipeg's council as unstable as Edmonton's?
