How do you even do that? You're 128,000 feet in the air, I just don't understand how someone has the balls to just step out of the balloon at that point.

Of course my legs shake when I climb to the top of a ladder which triggers my insane fear of heights so I don't have his mindset.

Well, he'd done it before, albeit from "only" 18 miles up. He's a thrill seeker. He says this was his last jump but I'm betting it won't be. Thinking what could possibly top that is pretty difficult, though. Congrats to him for achieving his goal--no way I'd do anything like that.

In a Monday night bowling league. Every Monday night play 2 games against 2 teams of 4 players each.

Just bowled my personal best ever in the first game, 179. Followed it up with a 163. Considering my average is about 130, this will help bring up my average.

Woo!

In 3 hours, the puck will drop on the opening game of my senior hockey season. My last first game. Guys, where did my life go?

Depending on where you plan to go to school next year, there is always the possibility of ACHA collegiate club level hockey to be played...

Good luck this season!

Yeah, with everyone playing each other in their division during the first seven games this season their are going to be some uneven shot totals till they reset into Gold and Blue Divisions. Sounds like despite the loss, you personally had a good game. :-)

I was happy. First goal was a cross-net one timer that barely snuck by, 2nd and 3rd were tipped by my defensemen and in(pet peeve of mine....), 4th I never saw because of a screen. Made a pure luck stick save, diving acros, batting it out of the air. Looked cool even if it took 0 skill. I'm happy.

All three of our goals were from the same player on a breakaway all three times.

Not looking forward to when we play your Cougars...

Sometimes accuracy of shots is more important than quantity of shots. Sounds like a close game despite the shot totals.

It's 75F here in NY. I sweatted through a t-shirt working out, outside.

I feel the lack of hockey is confusing mother nature.

Got up to 75 today. Now a cold front came through and it's 48 and raining and it's supposed to get down to 31 tonight. Who doesn't love late October weather?

Update on God deciding that NJ and NY need a bath.

Atlantic City is under 2 ft of water and they are saying some parts of the boardwalk are washing away.

WV may get 2 ft of snow.

NC may get snow in the Smokies.

we have already gotten a ft of rain.

A lady at the gymnastics studio showed me a picture of Gatlinburg and it looked like about 4-6 inches of snow on the ground. She said it was taken today.

Saw that parts of West Virginia could get 5 feet of snow. Yikes.

We're getting major waves on Lake Michigan from this. Saying 15-20 foot waves possible, a town is under evacuation because of them.

My Mother and sister came back home for the weekend last Thursday night. They were supposed to go back to NC today, but couldn't due to storm. Snow expected through mountains next two days, so they are likely stuck here till Thursday. Not all that bad, they are moving home at the end of next month and have been away for several years now, so it's good to get to spend the time with them.

Here in southern Ontario we got some fierce winds. Peaking around 100kmh. (65-75mph). One women was killed downtown Toronto by debris unfortunately. My neighbor had a tree fall on his backyard sunroom. Thankfully it didn't effect the overall house structure. Storm broke up just in time or else it could have been alot worse.

We got a lot of wind and some of the biggest waves Lake Michigan has ever seen.

My uncle lives in New Jersey and they've been without power since Monday. He said last night he was hoping that he could go into work today just so he could get everyone warm on their backup generator.

with the lack of a hockey season I have been passing the time in a brutal form of self abuse, namely, posting as a republican on the politics board

today I finally decided I had wasted enough time being told by an American living in Austria and another American living in Australia that they have a better feel for how things are going in this country than I do, because of course I live in a red state and only interact with other hillbilly idiots like myself...
