If I ever go into a murderous rage, it will probably be prompted by a GW2 jumping puzzle.

Sounds like the Mechromancer update is out now for BL2.

(Also, if anyone is playing on steam and wants to add me, PM me. Don't usually do co-op but there are some co-op specific challenges and such).

Torn on XCom....some are saying it's dumbed down and the one guy I know who has played it, doesn't like it. Reviews seem good everywhere though....

Tried the demo and had a mixed feeling. The graphics took me all the way back to Warcraft 3, some components were very WoW-esque, while the gameplay was reminiscent of Diablo series. The intro was atrocious. Played 3 hours straight.

Bought the full game today.

Yeah, I guess I should have updated. I ended up buying the full game a few weeks back.

Not a whole lot of depth, but it's fun--more fun than Diablo 3, IMO. Well worth the $20.

Never played either of the Witcher games or the Cyberpunk 2020 pen&paper game, but this intrigues me. I'm a big fan of the cyperpunk genre/aesthetic, so I'll be keeping an eye on this. Thanks for the heads up.

It's too early for me to speak about the replay value of TL2, but one can suspect that multiple fun mods can help the game a lot.

As I wrote earlier, there is only one ARPG that looks like a true Diablo successor right now to me (after D3 let me down ), and that is Path of Exile. Graphics are kind of outdated (somewhat a mix of D2, Nox & Planescape:Torment), but visual look isn't responsible for the game depth, is it? Kotaku published an article about it a few days ago: link. I still have one beta key left.

Agreed on the graphics. I couldn't care less if they're outdated, so long as they're 'good enough'.

Looking forward to Path of Exile whenever they do get around to releasing the full version. The skill tree is ridiculously immense..

Upon first glance the skill tree looked crazy, but instead of having one icon and say 10 available upgrades for that skill/attribute like in TL, each skill has its own little icon. That's not to say it isn't impressive; because it is, but it isn't as crazy as I thought it was the first time I saw it.

I really liked how you can swap out gems to change available spells. Between the different options (gear, skills, gems) you can really customize your character.

Before starting a new character in PoE I always visit their online skill "calculator" and spend 30-40 minutes planning my build. The tool is really helpful, because it can highlight shortcuts, similar nodes and it has a search function. I understand that such a thing may be overwhelming for a new player, but it indeed caters to the veterans of the genre.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I love the immensity of the skill tree. It actually allows for tons of customization/personalization of characters, unlike the complete lack thereof in D3.

D3, sigh. I'm thinking about doing a fresh HC run with no AH usage sometime in the near future.

As for PoE, I can't wait for Act 3. Curious at how stable their servers will be during the Open Beta.

Picked up MoH:Warfighter (PC) hopefully they didn't kill the things I liked about the 1st one (even though it had its issues). Currently installing. Still starting to get pretty jaded with all the FPS games these days. Wish there were just more innovation and creativity.

Instakills by the floor are hilarious in that game.

Had the time to test the current HC Inferno in D3 during this weekend, and I have only one thing to say:

Seems like the local Gamestop will be closed tonight. No Assassin's Creed 3 for me for a few days.

Love Steam holiday sales. 7 good games for $15? Easy. Now I just need the time to play them
