I've noticed Nermark more than Duchene for whatever that counts for.
Yep. I've stopped watching now. The quality in the Elitserien is a bit disappointing to me. It's barely better than the DEL (German Elite League).
This and the fact that Duchene is pretty invisible results in me rather not watching any hockey than that.

Agreed. I like Duchene, but I really don't see him being what he was touted. I think what happened to Ovechkin is kind of happening to Duchene. IDK what it is, but he just doesn't seem to have it, even over there.
yeah, then Duchene will squander the shoot into the goalies chest, or defenders shin pads
Throughout the first two periods I haven't seen him take a shot at all.
I am really becoming worried about Duchene. Hope he'll pick up his best game soon, otherwise self-confidence might really become an issue with #9.
Frölunda played catastrophically bad. They're being sawed in half by the media today...
Like they played yesterday they more seem to belong in the bottom of Allsvenskan rather than SEL.
Yeah, from what I've seen (3 games or so) they absolutely lack any kind of chemistry. Some of the guys seem to be capable of playing good hockey but I haven't seen any kind of good offensive team plays by them at all.
Maybe good ol' Joe Sacco's line juggling could help them out a bit!?
i've had alot of thoughts to myself about duchene and the year he put up 67 pts he was on pace to around 40ish G 45 A then when flash went down his numbers did. for some reason i see him being a 70 pt player if he has good chemistry with someone 80ish max i would kinda like to see him with landeskog and PA just to see if he can get something going. I'd really hate to see him fail and bust...
He also gotta mature and learn to do his spins at the right time and utilize his linemates the kid can pass the puck without doing a spin to do it till then when he either learns that or the coach tells him i can't see it changing
Duchene's play has not been encouraging in the early stages of this campaign. It'd be one thing to be not producing/not terribly visible but still be making a concerted effort to improve on the weaknesses in his game, but thus far, it doesn't appear that he's doing that at all.
I think he had rough year last year. Other than that, he has been good.
Agreed. As a matter of fact, I think his rookie year was excellent. He was really snakebitten early and surely had room to grow, but by the end of the season you could not have asked for much more.
After such an impressive debut, his second year started slowly again, and midseason the team was distracted with Footers aging captaincy and Foppas final return attempt drama. I think there was an injury in there as well. That's alot to deal with as a 19 year old savior of the franchise. At any rate, his second was unremarkable if nothing else.
Last year was rough all the way around.
He certainly deserves more time before he is banished to the could-have-been list.
