Does anyone know who the Hurricanes' player rep is? I've seen no statements about how "awful" the deal is so they either don't exist or are just being quiet.
Pretty big day today as the NHLPA presents their counter proposal. Hopefully they base it off the NHLs last offer or this won't be very productive at all.

What the fudge is the player's problem?!?!?!?!? Other than Fehr of course.
When are they going to get it through their thick freaking skulls that 57% is ancient history. They are NOT going to get it and have ZERO leverage in the situation.
Very disappointed. This season is on the cusp of being a complete loss and the greedy players are 100% to blame.
As soon as Gary Bettman stepped to microphone you knew it was bad news. Almost always he keeps his cool in public. This time he was seething.
Well played by Bettman. I can't believe Fehr fell for this. Most of the public viewed the NHL's previous offer as, if nothing else, reasonable. Preliminary reports are saying that Fehr ignored it and just tweaked his original offer.
Result is that public opinion is now overwhelmingly anti-Union. I guess Fehr anticipated this (hence the multiple offers), but it didn't work.
And if Bettman's (controlled) anger indicated by the above tweet means anything, I would guess that the tweak's were not nearly enough. Seems to be in the opposite direction.
I could care less about public perception of each side and/or "PR wins". They can both eat ****, and they can fight over less money because I'm fully prepared to not give them anymore.
The PA is not going to release their documents. If they were as close as the PA claims, then they would certainly cause the PR mood to shift. At least from the current "**** the players" hatefest that is the BoH board.
Right now, all we know is that 1 of the proposals (or perhaps all of them?) actually increased HRR for the players in the first year from 57%. This is a quote from Bettman.
Without releasing the documents, the PA is giving Bettman free reign to describe the deals to the public. Which is a horrible, horrible move (and explains why he was "seething").
Fehr says he thinks 50% isnt a fair deal. see you guys next season
Edit: Apparently this was one of the proposals...
