Created this account to post here as I have seen Sieloff grow at my high school that also created Jeff Petry and Aaron Palushaj. Sieloff is a physical specimen. Heavy hitter, great leadership qualities, displays more poise than he should. Sure his offensive game is rough but his slap and wrist shots are very heavy. His work ethic brought him to where he is and the Flames got a quality player. Should he continue to develop and gain a little more offensive upside he could become a good middle pairing dman in NHL

That was very Kronwall-like.

Is anyone else tired of the fact he delivered a great hit and got jumped on the ground, its ******** that if you hit someone hard in today's game then you are going to have to fight.

I agree for the most part. If Connor McDavid was a Flame, and was hit that hard, I'd want my team to go after the delivery man. But it does feeel like anyone who gets hit "4th liner - 1st liner" has his buddy waiting to fight the guy that hit him.

Sieloff leaped and Pelech doesn't have a replay to tell if it was before or after contact (I have a replay and it still looks before). Defending your teammates from charging is hardly ********, more like hockey.

Just throwing out a comparison: how does his game compare to Aaron Rome? Big frame, strong, physical, very solid skater, hard hitter, not high offence but heavy slapshot. Similar?

Some similarities for sure. I think Sieloff will bring more leadership qualities to his team. I also think he will be better defensively...

No, it's how it goes.

At least when he threw the hit he didn't jump like Kronwall, or didn't look like it.

Yeah, it's idiotic and makes the game look very tacky. Take his number and look to get him back (with a legal hit) later in the game.

I don't mind if they fight after the hit but Pelech attacked him while he is down. That isn't hockey that is just a cheap shot, if he had such a strong opinion of the hit then fight him don't jump him when he is on the ground.

Sieloff came to Windsor advertised as a booming d-man who will hurt you with the body and can put the puck in on occasion. He's come as advertised...and more.

He's not big, maybe 6'1 180 (and that's pushing it), but he's got as Scott Stevens in him as I've ever seen. He will level you with a hit, which has caused a lot of controversy in the league. He's also got the nasty shot which can score on occasion. Won't score a ton, but will score big!

Haha, just as I'm typing this, he scores for Windsor against Guelph.

He's actually pushing 200lbs. HF has him listed at 198 but I recall reading an article that had him at 193.

All I know is..he like a tank.

I think your looking at a 6'1 - 200 - 205lb dman at seasons end. He plays WAY bigger than he is, but has the nastiness/toughness to back it up. Love the kid.

The guy went nuts last night against the Whalers. The whole Spitfires team were hot headed last night. He sucker punched two players one being Tom Wilson. When Wilson wanted to go after he was being punched on the ice by 3 Windsor players (one being the goalie) Sieloff completely backed off. He was acting pretty pathetically.

The Kronwall comparisons keep adding up

So these so called sucker punches landed Sieloff a whole 1 penalty for roughing. Seems the refs see things differently than you do.

Sieloff looks to be developing into quite a leader type guy, and the kid can really hit. HARD. I may need to change my name to Sieloff'd once he makes an impact in the show.

He had another monster hit last night, followed by a fight. Didn't win the fight (the other guy was pretty legit), but he showed up and almost knew it was coming. Seems to be the same situation every few games - giant hit, opposition doesn't like it, fight. Most of the time the other guys get the instigator package.
