Negative there was a few stories out there I believe on the pipeline show that talked about how KP stepped up and told the Oilers they were taking Teemu Hartikainen.

Now whether or not Eberle was a KP pick is another story, but KP was still around with influence.

I assumed we got rid of him when Stu Macgregor came on board but I guess that was dumb. He was fired in 2010.

I'm not disagreeing with that at all, but now is not the time. Right now he needs to attract the interest of another NHL club, and he just can't do that by quietly working on his shortcomings in a lesser league. He's got to showcase his elite skills, not ignore them to focus on bringing his substandard skills up to par. I heard a great interview with Stamkos once about his training philosophy -- he said the biggest mistake a lot of prospects make is training hardest to improve their areas of weakness. He, on the other hand, trained hardest to improve his areas of strength, since that is what makes him special. If you're constantly worried about bringing your weaknesses up to average then you'll find your strengths slipping down to average at the same time and whatever you had that made you special in the first place will be gone. Saying Omark should be working at improving his defensive game and PK skills is like saying Shaq should be focused on taking more 3-point shots in games (sorry for the dated analogy, but I haven't watched basketball in over a decade. )

Except Shaq was already a dominate player and didn't need to establish himself

Well, it's not a perfect analogy, obviously.

3 more points for Linus tonight.
Also 3 points for his new line-mate, Henrik Zetterberg.

Pretty awesome to hear. I'm one of the few people who seem to still hope that Omark has a chance with the Oilers.

Where? He has a chance in the NHL, but he's never going to beat out Hall, Nuge, Eberle, Yakupov, Gagner, or Hemsky and there's a very good chance he won't beat Paajarvi, Pitlick, Hartikainen, and maybe more...

I wouldn't mind seeing them give him another shot. I mean he had a grand total of 188 minutes with an offensive blackhole a season after getting better than half a PPG (0.53) as a rookie.

But more than wanting to see him with the Oilers, I want to see him completely rip up the Swiss league, and hopefully that helps draw some interest.

That's ok. Like I said - hopefully he even breaks records over there. Playing with Zetterberg, maybe Hank will love playing with him and get Ken Holland's ear.

Either way - he is still Oilers property, and as such, I love seeing him do well.

You must be confusing Omark and Brunner
Brunner: 0G, 3A
Omark: 1G, 0A

And Omark's goal was an empty net gift from Zetterberg.

That said, he's still having a decent season. 16pts in 12 games.

The game he is refering to was a European Trophy game (sort of like a champions league of hockey).

Does their top scorer actually have a jersey and helmet that are "on fire"?

thats odd

I hope Omark goes Martin St.Louis on us just to show the Oilers management how they mismanaged him.

mmm but I think everyting was a result of bad timing and poor asset management from the start..

Here is the exact numbers atm:

National League A
GP: 13 G: 6 A: 12 P: 18

European Trophy
GP: 4 G: 1 A: 7 P: 8

Total
Gp: 17 G: 7 A: 19 P: 26

However I still think he will get a last shot with the Oilers. Kreuger has lots of knowledge about and connections to the Swiss leauge.

Okay, this is so weird to me.... can anyone explain why the guy who scores the first goal is wearing a jersey and helmet that looks different from his own team, and actually kind of makes him look like a member of the other team?

It's kind of a sponsor gimmic. The top scorer of each team has to wear a "golden" helmet.. Zug:s Red Wings Prospect Damien Brunner in this game..

But... the whole back of his jersey is yellow/red just like the other team? That's so crazy.

I could put up 3 points in a game if Zetterberg was my linemate to.

Ray Whitney. (more correct for an Oilers comparison if that is what you want)

Another 3 assists for Omark vs Ambri-Piotta.
Zšta was 3+1

Is that the same as the Finnish league? I was watching some highlights and Barkov and another center on the other team both had gold helmets, and I know Barkov is leading his team in scoring which is crazy for a kid who just turned 17 at the start of September.

It would be nice if Omark could continue his production and the Oilers could get a nice return for him. Too bad he doesn't really fit with the lineup the Oilers have right now. I was always impressed by how well he worked the boards and protected the puck as a smaller guy until he got hurt last year.

Does anybody know if Omark has the strength back in his legs to protect the puck like he used to?
