Kuznetsov to PHI

What would it take? The thought of Kuznetsov-Giroux-Voracek....

Caps fan will ask for Couturier or Schenn.

Philly will say no.

Not necessarily. Depending on if Kuznetsov comes over i'd trade Schenn.

Talk about poor management of resources... If Philly is trading what is needed to get Kuznetsov, they should be trading for a D.

If Holtby collapses, what about something around Schneider for Kuznetsov?

If the Caps knew he was coming over there'd be absolutely no reason to trade him.

That would require that Holtby, Neuvirth, and Grubauer all completely flame out in the next two years. In other words, don't hold your breath.

I'm curious what Caps fans think are the chances of Kuznetsov coming over at all. Reupped his KHL contract for two years, has a wife and family out there, loves playing in Russia. The warning signs are there.

Agree. If Schenn or Couturier are traded, I'd hope it's for a top pairing d-man, as much as I love Kuznetsov.

This. If he was coming over (which he doesn't look to be at the moment), it'd cost a lot to convince Washington to trade him. Sort of pointless ATM.

He wears Caps hats, even after he signed with Traktor. He's coming over. Traktor management used scare tactics on him saying he could be scratched all the time by Dale Hunter, possibly portraying Hunter as anti Russian(not a stretch by any means).

Either way, Kuznetsov is our crown jewel, not trading him for anything.

More than likely Kuznetsov will never come to the NHL. The Caps would be wise to move him now for immediate help. But I doubt anyone would even pay half his value so the Caps are stuck with him. If he comes over, he's a supreme talent. If not, he's a disaster and a distraction that's just hanging around.

Wearing a caps hat means he's completely loyal? Right....

Caps won't trade him for anything over than an Overpayment, other teams will not want to Overpay for a Russian Prospect.

P.S... He will come over eventually. After he signed his new 2 year deal he said in multiple interviews that his dream is to play in the NHL, he just feels he isn't ready yet.

For me the bigger sign was when he had an interview with the local media before the beginning of the season and they asked him what victory is next after WJC and the Worlds? Olympics? Gagarin Cup? He said all of that and don't forget Stanley Cup.
Here it is: http://www.russianmachineneverbreaks...-in-interview/

Its either that or he is sadist. But whatever, Kuznetsov isn't some so-so prospect saying he won't come to the Capitals. If there is any team he should go to, its the Capitals, the fan base is the most pro-Russian of any.

Kuzya has repeatedly stated his desire to win a Stanley Cup. The impression most Caps fans have is that he was essentially told that he wouldn't make the Sochi Olympic team if he left for the NHL, so he signed in the KHL until after the Sochi games.

Kuznetsov will come to NHL sooner or later. Traktor isn't a very rich club, they won't have enough money to extend him. And he won't play for other team in Russia. So it's only NHL.

I'd love Kuznetsov solely for the purpose of this guy I know who's a Sens fan. He loathes him because of the WJ's and it would be fun to troll him when we played. That being said do the Flyers really need 4 lines of superstars? No they need defense.

This is almost as good as American propaganda about USSR
