Yeah I also voted for Brovsky in that category. I think he won MLS's award for most implicated in the community last season.

Not even close. Canadian camps are crap and the academies are below average but are the brightest thing for the future.

DeVos explains things nicely here. I disagree with him about not blaming the association or management. Both deserve it. The group wasn't a team but a few mercenaries. They needed more time and dedication to gel. And certainly better tactics and execution.

Just looked it up and he was named Whitecaps Foundation Humanitarian of the Year last year. He was named MLS W.O.R.K.S humanitarian of the month in July of 2011. Zak Boggs (New England) was named MLS W.O.R.K.S. humanitarian of the year in 2011.

Impact will play against Bologna as well.

Good news.

We might have to look at the fiorentina formation to check for possible signings, we seem to have good relationship with this club. Luca Toni to replace Corradi? :p

Toni looks better than I thought back in Firenze, but I suspect he might want to retire after this season depending on how he does.

Pizarro would be absolutely amazing in MLS, he'd probably be costly though. If the Impact needs a left back Pasqual is on the decline but I think the plan is to keep him for his leadership, plus he's experienced something of a revival since Montella took over.

The rest of the team is too young, la Viola dumped most of its dead weight over the summer. Juan Vargas who is currently on loan at Genoa might be released by them after the season considering he just returned from international break having to be carried from the airport because he was so drunk, but I'm not sure that's the kind of influence the Impact wants.

Fiorentina has been a joy to watch this year, the best passing in Serie A, but the finishing...

Get our name out there. Make some handshakes with the calcio people in Italy. Good PR.

Awesome news. Great for PR and also great to have some of the younger IMFC North American born players to have this experience.

I'm biased but Fiorentina is playing some great soccer this year and the fan interest in Florence is the highest in the past few years, even for a friendly there should be a nice atmosphere and if the Impact can put up a fight it'll be good exposure in Italy and hopefully keep up the growing reputation the Impact is getting there.

Also a great experience for the Impact players.

If any Impact ultras are dedicated enough/want an excuse to go to Italy I recommend getting a sandwich outside the Franchi, those things are legendary.

Jovetic is an amazing player. I was surprised he stayed with Fiorentina. Juve were very close to snab hib.

They train at an indoor facility on Maurice Duplessis in RDP right near the new bridge (the 25) into Laval

EDIT: it's called The Marie-Victorin Sports Complex

He claims he snubbed both Juve and City but I'm not sure how much of that is PR, it's pretty obvious Fiorentina needs a top 6 finish this year to consider keeping him, but thankfully he's a smart kid who realizes there's no rush.

He carried us last year because the midfield was atrocious, the owners realized how angry and disillusioned the fans and players alike was and reinvented the team. Once again we are one of the most exciting teams in Italy, competing financially with the likes of Juve will never happen but thankfully Fiorentina is relevant again and the last two years are a distant memory. At this point I'm not as worried about selling Jovetic as long as the money is used properly.

Yeah, I'd like to see more of Evan Bush also. Good double header on RDS with the Impact and the Als, and then a streaming Bulldogs game. A full day of sports, gotta love it. Lets go for the Canadian championship for the Impact, would be great for a first season in MLS.

What a crappy lineup. Warner on the right and Arnaud as RB. Marsch is so ****ing stubborn. Why dont you give Valentin a chance?

I was wondering why Vancouver got to play Edmonton first this year. Pretty stupid that the MLS results are what matters and not what actually happened in the tournament the year before but not a big deal. What happens if this games ends in a draw?

Direct results dont matter. Total number of pts decide the seeds.

I think the canadian championship is crap. They should do a tournament between the 4 clubs where every team play each other twice.

For Serie A fans, Pogba scored a beautiful long volley. He's looking amazing. I was pissed ManU wasn't able to retain him.

Also Wenger will get it. I just hope we play 2 strikers next season.
