Is Seguin playing center right now? If Backstrom signs, Segs on the right may be a pretty sweet fit.

Another 0 point game for Seguin. In just 7 games with Biel Tyler Seguin has the worst +/- rating of his lockout team. -6 it is.

This is basically rec hockey for these players, I wouldn't expect much out of them. They just want some ice time and try not to get hurt, so they can go back to their real job when it starts back up.

Obviously you have never played sports?

Any man with any self respect ends up being competitive in any game....

I'm not concerned he isn't producing but I will guarantee he is trying and it's bothering him. Hopefully he turns it around soon. Thanks for the updates

Busted! Dammit.

You're right I've never played or been involved in sports at any level, especially a high level.

Patty59 had, in a very profund and elaborate post in the Chara vs Ovechkin thread, the KHL weighing in at "crap" level,
so hockey in the Swiss league should be played around better beer league standard.

I doesn't bode well when Seguin is not even being able to cut it there

That's also why the last two games of Swiss teams against NHL teams were won by them. Zurich against Chicago and Zug against the Rangers. ;-)

Something tells me he'll be just fine.

You can like the Swiss league all you want but you can throw the Swiss teams beating NHL teams argument out the window. Fact of the matter is those were were all pre season games for those NHL teams so they weren't using their full NHL roster, lots of prospects and minor leaguers in the line ups. It's also weird how you failed to mention that in the blackhawks case they lost 2-1 to Zurich but beat Davos 9-2 the game before.

The argument may not hold a lot of water, but still calling the KHL crap and other euro leagues beer leagues is just arrrogant and disrespectful to the players there. These guys are all good hockey players with a huge amount of talent that they put a lot of work into... because otherwise you don't make it as a pro. Especially the KHL...it's a different game being played there, just because you are used to the north american game doesn't mean you can label it crap...

European leagues are not crap at all. Just saying that teams in Europe would have a hard time beating any of the 30 NHL teams.

That's why i put the smiley at the end, but not all of the forum users seem to be capable to understand.

By the way: Biel has won the game against his arch enemy today. Seguin had an assist and the GWG. Huge atmosphere in the old Biel arena.

LOL, Segs' shot was so quick they had to run the replay to confirm the goal.

Thanks for uploading the videos for us.

Each top scorer of the Swiss League teams has to wear this shirt. At the end of the season, all top scorers will receive an amount of money per point they made. This money will be used for the junior movement of their team. It's like a sponsorised hockey development project.

According to several Swiss newspapers Biel coach Kevin Schläpfer was really unhappy with Seguin after the first period. "I told him my opinion in the first break. He took it like a pro and gave the answer on the ice, "says the charismatic coach, adding:" I praised him afterwards also.»

Our coach is pretty special, always at 100% or even more. When he gets angry, and he really was furious after the first period, it will get loud in the locker room. Seguin's ears must have been burning after the break. But finally it helped.

Good, I'd never expect that from Claude.
A young players needs to hear that stuff from time to time.

Bergeron's Lugano won against Seguin's Biel in the Bruins matchup in Swiss NLA.
Bergeron 1 G, Seguin 1 G, 1 A.

The Swiss League website has Seguin with - 1 G, 2 A and +2

I saw another website with him only at 1 & 1 but they are usually wrong. They had Bergeron with extra points in his 1st 2 games that he never got credit for on the Official Swiss League site.

They changed the stats after the game. First they didn't give any assist on the first goal of Biel.
