Bad Granlund. Turnover...then gets schooled by AHL defenders.

Larsson looks shaky.

Brodin looks exactly like Johnsson, just toss the puck over in his general area and he will break it out or move it up.

Bulmer great defensive play.

If he plays every shift like that from now on he'll definitely bust

Yes, his speed is evident. He creates trouble carrying the puck and is great on the forecheck. He also is a shoot first guy - something we all know we have lacked.

Half the Aeros look like they are playing a competitive scrimmage and half look like they are holding a lead with 5 minutes left in the game. Not unexpected.

I can't tell you how much I agree with this. There is a palpable change in energy when he jumps on the ice each shift. Having Parise and this kid on the same team shall be a great thing.

What kind of period was that?

edit: I'll probably ask a question or two after each period. Hope you guys are ok with that, I have to watch this game vicariously through a few of you.

He and Coyle have both looked great.

Bulmer, while not noticeable offensively, has shown such a mature game. He makes smart plays defensively/chipping in the puck.

As for Granlund, he looked fine but on the PP, he made two horrible passes that were not only low chance of succeeding but were right to the Stars. After the two turnovers, he tried to skate through 3 guys and turned it over.

Powerplay looks completely unorganized.

The Aeros will skate into the puck carrier and knock the puck loose, or just sit in blocked passing lanes.

I think Brodin should be on the top PP.

Not even close. Too many fancy plays. we don't need those. Just look for Granlund's passes nothing else.

Sounds like he's starting to get frustrated. Hopefully it'll be a good learning experience for him.

They really pressure Granlund the second he gets the puck on the wall, there hasn't been anyone open to pass it to.

hey guys, just got home to catch the 3rd, I got that ustream link working & the clairty is fantastic BUT, it's like Im looking at the whole computer screen instead of having the hockey on full screen, is it like that for anyone else? Will it change to full screen when the period starts?

Thanks!

EDIT: Did that question even make sense? if not I'll post a pic or better explain!

granlund has had some great shifts and some bad ones...but he has shown some physicality at times

coyle is the man

zucker is walz-esque in spirit but more offensive minded

What I've learned so far:

Brodin looks fantastic.
Larsson's having a better game then the last.
Minor league hockey in Texas means choirs, tricycles, and strippers.

*than the last...

Zucker has looked good, but i don't think i'd gush as much as everyone else. He is a shooter though, which is what we've been needing.
