It was a gamble considering he had a -72 plus minus, but it was good foresight considering he would be playing with McDavid

Biggs played pretty physical tonight, had a few big hits and looked faster on the forcheck. Made some smart plays and worked the cycle with ease, came as advertised. I think he needs to make his desicions just a bit faster and drive the puck to the net more. Has great battles in front of the net though, he will be hard to move. 3 minutes left or so

I saw the MJ Warriors get steamrolled by the Oil Kings tonight. The Warriors had virtually zero zone time on the Oil Kings and frankly it's kind of a shame that Rielly doesn't have more support because his skating and puck moving abilities stand out. I was hoping to see a little more from the defensive side of his game but he's all puck and no body. He reminds me quite a bit of JM Liles with his playing style. This guy could probably help the Leafs out immediately in the area of offense but his passive defense worries me. By far the most dynamic player in the game tonight

Looks like Mike St. Croix lead the way. He was a person of interest last year in the draft. Then he went and had a 105 point season. Rangers might have done okay there.

Rielly and Reinhart match-up, but Oil Kings have a good team, so unfair comparison.

You really can't compare Rielly and Reinhart anyway. Reinhart never leaves his post and always makes the easy pass. He plays better without the puck. Reilly is always looking to skate with the puck and make something happen offensively. Obviously, he's far more useful when he's got the puck. It's apples to oranges.

Certainly, and Reinhart is on a good team.

^^

Yeah. One of the many reasons why a scout's job is harder than just watching a bunch of kids play.

Some guys could be great players on terrible teams and at other times players can look good because they're on a talented team and their point totals get affected because of it.

Yes, stats can be affected in either direction in either situation.

Bad team good player gets more than normal playing time and packs on the points, in a losing cause.

Good team good player gets less playing time and has a reduced opportunity to put on the points.

And the opposite can happen.

So like the Red Wings have said, draft on talent.
