Exactly. He can be an effective goal scoring powerforward against weaker competition, but against the best in the world, he's simply a good 4th liner who can chip in the occasional goal... And there's nothing wrong with that. He's a good player to have, and its nice to know that if he gets the puck in the slot, he can do more than just flutter a shot into the goalies chest

And in a much lesser league. He's got more time on the ice with the increase in size and skill. Size being in ice surface.

Rieder with a goal today to end a two game pointless streak.

I did not see the game but the Rangers scoring woes continue as they lost 6-2 to Ottawa. Spott supposedly is very upset with some of the vets, though at this point I don't know exactly which ones he is speaking of.

Zharkov scored last night for Bellville.

His team doesn't play tonight.

They don't play again until tomorrow morning at 9AM MST.

Good to see Bunz is off to a strong start in the ECHL. I personally have a gut feeling he'll end up an NHL starter.

Not sure where to post this, but Gagner has signed in Austria according to another poster in the lockout signings thread in Trade Rumours and Proposals.

Nah, that article was about how EV Zug was talking to a few specific NHL players.

He'll be joining Tyler Myers, Jamie Lundmark and former Oilers prospect, Tyler Spurgeon, on Klagenfurter AC of the Austrian league.

Petrell is just scoring goals like he is a super star, is he playing in a low tier league.

Top 5 league in the world, probably close to on par with the AHL (if a little lower scoring).

He played 7 years in the Sm-Liiga and his career best was 19 goals in 53 games. Definitely on pace to smash that.

Tuohimaa played today for Kiekko-Vantaa (the "farm team" for Jokerit), kept a clean sheet with 29 saves as they beat one of the top teams in Mestis (tier 2) on the road 1-0 after the shootout. Jokerit have back-to-back games next week on Tuesday and Wednesday, I'd assume he'll play in one of them.

Thanks, have you seen Perhonen at all this year?

No nor have I been able to see Tuohimaa, except for the Tappara - Jokerit game via stream.

Well thanks a lot for keeping us updated despite not getting to see much of either player. What are your thoughts of Anti Tervainen? I've had hopes that he could one day be our 4th line pest in the NHL, do you think that he could get there one day?

Juhjar and the Huskies beating the #1 ranked gophers 5-2 after 2 periods, he's got an assist on the first goal, I'm loving watching this kid play.

The way it seems is that his line is the second line from what I've seen based on playing time, but Huskies do have 3 lines that all could be #1. But he's the center of his line and he is the one doing the dirty work down low and getting pucks to his line mate Alex Petan (people need to start keeping tabs on this kid also). Its amazing to think that Khaira is only 18 years old and he is already matching the physical strength of the Gophers team, hes just truly a treat to watch.

Thanks for the update. What number is he? I'm watching the game on replay.
Does he play center a lot? I thought that he was predominantly on wing.
