Ya I read Natinen and Desjardins were both out (hurt or sick) last game. Not benched.

It's listed on here: http://atdhenet.tv/index.html

I know it was posted last Bulldogs game, but I didn't use it, so I have no idea if it's reliable or not.

It worked for last nights Sarnia game, so hopefully it will work.

The Habs didn't qualify Blunden as an RFA, then signed him at a lower salary as a UFA. Then they exposed him on waivers. Palushaj got qualified, and the team waited until after the lockout was announced to use a temporary rule to assign him to Hamilton. IMO all this indicates that Palushaj is higher on the depth chart than Blunden, and that the team will be reluctant to place him on waivers when/if the lockout ends.

I used it for the last bulldogs game and the quality was somewhat decent for an online stream. Should work again tonight (hopefully)

It worked last week, got shut down, but was back up again 10 minutes later.

Good to hear about Holland. Didn't see much of the game but would Tanguay be a good comparable in terms of style?

Glad Corbin played good but I guess he's still the 7th D once Ellis comes back. Looks like we got really good D depth. Good size and they all seem pretty mobile.

Mayer was apparently really good in the ECHL. It would be great if he can step it up in the A.

Seems like we have a lot of solid mid-level prospects in Hamilton. Nothing wrong with having forwards who might have 3rd line upside in the NHL but they look like they can at least fill in the top 6 in case of injuries.

I think the Bulldogs will have a tough season despite the decent start. Too many young players.

The AHL might clear up if the NHL lockout ends. Most AHL teams would lose players, but every single Bulldogs player would stay in the AHL barring injuries.

I think Louis Leblanc, Brendan Gallagher and Patrick Holland have 2nd line upside.

I heard he's got a solid 2-way game. Little worried about his size for a third line. Oh and thanks for the kudos on my Collberg post a few days back, Deke.

Agreed on LL and Gallagher. Haven't seen enough of Holland.

Standings wise, if not experience wise, they'll be better served by a cessation of the lockout. I'm sure they'll have they're rough patches but will definitely get better as they go along. I'm cautiously optimistic. Wouldn't be surprised if this good start goes to their heads.

I'm just speaking for yesterday, but for Holland, by looking at him, I thought he was playing a north-south game, with pretty good speed, vision and passing (that pass to Corbin that led to his own goal was a good one, and earlier, he rushed the puck up the ice until he changed direction, he did lose the puck at first, but got it back first and passed it to Dumont I think, which led to a scoring chance). His goal was opportunistic, he was at the right place at the right time. Will have to see more of him.

Was at the game last night. Just some notes.

First "sell out" in years for the Bulldogs. (It's put in quotes as the upper bowl is perma closed for Bulldogs)

- Bulldogs were absolutely dominated first half of the game. Was even 22-6 in shots at one point for the Marlies.

- Bealieu was good. Though he didn't have a great first period, he stepped it up after and was a key component on the PK.

- The PK was great for the most part. Great job blocking shots, closing passing lanes and clearing the puck.

- Too many neutral zone turnovers for the Dogs. They started dumping and chasing more in the 3rd but still would try and carry the puck in when there would 2 or 3 men defending. They need to fix that.

- Leblanc was great. Two goals (though one was an empty netter).

- Bulldogs are great at crashing the net. Two of their goals came from sending a bunch of people to create havoc infront of the net during a rebound.

- Mayer was outstanding. Kept them in it early on. Made save after save, sprawling save after sprawling save, breakaway save after breakaway save and stopped every one timer and cross crease pass. If he even does 70% of this a game for the rest of the season, Bulldogs are in good hands goaltending wise.

- Holzer needs to come the **** down. Seriously, he would get nudged and absolutely lose it.

- During one of the bigger scrums of the game, Kadri swung his helmet at a Bulldogs player (His name eludes me currently, might have been palushaj but I don't think so.). Kadri gave a couple slaps and/or a couple brushes to the side of the Dog's players face after the ref quickly got in between them and was hiding behind the ref during it.

I'm actually a bit disappointed about that. I'm glad I get to catch the game on TVA, but I was hoping both channels would be covering different games.

Pretty sloppy affair for both teams. Dogs got ran for the first 30 mins but managed to grind out a couple goals. Dump and chase with not forecheck is useless.

Palushaj could also get called up to play an offensive, role, this is a new management team.

That's not true, you're forgetting Palushaj, St-Denis & Desjardins...
