The Jags should be going best player on their board when their pick is up, they have a ton of holes on that roster. If that's a QB ok but if they bypass players higher on their board just to draft a QB that's a big mistake.

The defensive line is very good and what I consider the best aspect of this team, but outside Poz and Landry the secondary and Linebackers could use upgrades. I love Daryl Smith but he's old and somewhat injury prone recently. Jarvis Jones would be amazing here if he played soley LB. Offensive line isn't great but it's in the middle of the pack I'd say, and even tho they aren't putting up good numbers I'd like to think RB and WR with a better QB could be playoff calibre.

Not sure what QB's are expected to be early 2nd rounders yet, maybe to early to tell. But Jones in in the 1st, QB in 2nd, and CB in 3rd would be very appealing from this fans perspective. As bad as they are, I still think they'll win enough games to not pick 1st, I see them picking 3rd-5th.

I wasn't all that impressed with any aspect of there team

Tyson Alualu especially seemed to struggle at the line

New here to the NFL forums-go easy on me lol

Was really kinda hoping Miami might be in the mix this year for a top five pick-doubtful that will happen now-which would be fine if they could make the playoffs, but that's probably not happening either

AFC is wide open. Take care of business and win the games they should and the Dolphins will have a chance. Looking like 9 and 7 will get someone into the playoffs.

After another disgusting performance today, I'd say the Carolina Panthers might just have emerged as the early favorite for 1st overall. There are several hopeless AFC franchises at the moment, but Carolina is easily the most hopeless in the NFC. Teams like the Vikings, Redskins, Seahawks, and Rams all look to be turning the corner after some abysmal stretches, but Carolina looks as bad as ever. Even Tampa Bay would make the Panthers look foolish at the moment.

As I mentioned, there are several AFC franchises that are a complete gong show as well, but they'll all get a few wins by virtue of playing eachother and the fact that the AFC is simply terrible overall right now. Carolina is looking like a 3-13 team at best, and that record might be bad enough for 1st overall this year. I don't really see anybody else doing worse than 3 wins.

The Bus already have made the Panthers look foolish this year in week 1. I think they'll finish with about 5 wins. They still have the entire AFC West to play plus they get the Bucs at home and they always seem to upset a team. Could see them beating Atlanta in Charlotte. Other than that they still have trips to Chicago, Philadelphia, New Orleans and Washington (election game) yet to come. Things could get ugly. I do think the Jags are worse though, especially if Gabbert/MJD miss significant time.

I agree the Jags are in worse shape, and really the Raiders, Chiefs, and Bills are just as big of a mess as Carolina. But they're all in the AFC. Carolina is looking primed to take the torch from the Lions as the NFC's annual punching bag. There's no light at the end of the tunnel as far as I can see.

I would trade down. They need OLine and DLine help. Like top end guys, not more "depth". A starter opposite of Cox would also be nice.

Haven't read the thread, but who is the #1 pick this year? How deep is the draft? I'm really not that into College Football, I usually only follow ASU, but I have seen quite a bit of hype around Crowley or whatever, the DE from SC. Barkley is a big name I think of, but he's not having a great year.

I think its a defense heavy draft class. QB class is weak compared to recent years.

Even my Colts have a chance given their remaining 10 games and a Week 17 that could have Texans resting up.

Crowley is only a sophomore. This draft is a bit weak but defense heavy.

Clowney isn't eligible until next season since he's only a sophomore. He's a freak and might be the best defensive player in the country right now. Obviously a long way to go but at this point he'd go #1 in the 2014 draft.

A precarious position for the Chiefs, assuming they get a Top 3 pick.

They can't justify NOT choosing a quarterback, but I also don't think one can justify any of these quarterbacks being picked that high.

Last year watching Luck and RG3 play..there was an electric feel...I don't get the same feeling watching Barkley or Geno Smith. I'm speaking strictly QB's. The Linebacker from ND has that feel to him though.

Not that this means everything, but I really never bought into Blaine Gabbart. I didn't think he was any better than his predecessor, Chase Daniel at Mizzou. And Daniel can't get on a field, although he's behind Drew Brees.
