Spezza scored in todays game the 0:1, but right at the end unfortunately also the 7:1.
Hope they are ready for tomorrows game against Davos with Thornton and Nash...

Erik Condra had his first game tonight with EV Füssen, assisting on one goal in a 2-5 loss.

If I'm not wrong this was the first game here in which he also had some Minutes of Boxplay time.

Here you have also the stats of Peter Regin yesterdays game:
http://www.nationalleague.ch/NL/spie...20131115071068

I don't follow the NLB at all, but on Langethals Homepage they write: Although Regin dind't scored any points he showed vivid effort.
"Peter Regin won duels, passed precise and dangerous, and performed valuable defensive work."

Regin itself said: "A nice victory, we played well. The game was fast, there are good skaters in this league. I'm happy that we won the game. For myself, I can play even better. The last days were tough, on Sunday I hope I will play better. The Hockey here is different, a lot of the game goes through the center of the rink. In contrast to the NHL where's a lot of fighting at the boards. I followed the Hockey here in my freetime because I know Jeff Campbell and Brent Kelly."

....I hope you understand this translation, my english skills are not the best ;-)

Thanks and your English skills are just fine.

Really hoping Regin gets back in the swing of things and that his shoulder holds up.

Ok thanks, I try my best
The niveau in the NLB is not very high, the game there is not as fast as in NLA and the players are technically less talented, therefor it's maybe a bit more physical. I think a player out of the NHL should be overqualified there.

For all guys in here, who has nothing up this afternoon, I would recommend you to search for a livestream for our tonites game, Rapperswil-Jona Lakers - HC Davos, its Spezza against the actual Team of Thornton and Nash, the game will be sold out, lots of Davos Fans also in our Stadium so it will be a very good and loud ambiance and I hope they will show us good Hockey Sport!
Starts at your time, 1.45 PM

Thanks! Any Regin news is much appreciated. expectations for him seem to have been dropped to nothing. If he can come back healthy, it would be a huge boost.

You know, I almost completely forgot about him when I do my line-ups!

I think he could be used as part of shutdown line if Ottawa ever wanted to roll one out. Something like: Greening-Regin-Condra (good speed, good defense, high IQ)

Karlsson was on the ice for 3 of the 4 goals scored by his team.

I'm believe that's 16 of past 19 goals scored he was on the ice.

Last year, Regin was on our most consistent line throughout the first 10 games with Neil and I believe Greening. They were everywhere.

Regin's coach says he was the best player out there. Encouraging indeed! I really wish he will be able to go forward without any more injuries. He was such a big talent and I'm so hoping for him that he can pick it up. What happens if there is no season in the NHL. Do the contracts slide or does it cut off a year?

Contracts don't slide. Regin would be without a contract for the next season.

Right. That could be an interesting situation. I'm sure some inferior team would offer him a contract to see if he could pick up his game again. And Ottawa isn't the easiest team for him to crack. But then again it seems he loves the team/city so much, and would be willing to sign for very little again, just to pay back for believing and having patience with him.

I'm not excited because this is what I expect of him. He should be able to dominate. Regin when on his game and healthy is a legitimate top 6 forward in the NHL, imho. I should hope to see him try to get back to playing a complementary role on a second line or of the such.

I love Regin as a player. Dynamic and strong 2 way-forward. He just needs to be physically adept and he'll be just fine.

the only circumstance under which Regin should not be in a Sens uniform is if he (god forbid) has a career ending injury.

Highlight or rather lowlights (outta my subjective view ) of yesterdays Game in Rapperswil-Jona
http://www.bluewin.ch/de/index.php/1...sset_id=131762

Plus the official statistics, but its a little bit weird. Spezza is marked for scoring our second goal, but due to the high stick, the ref watched the TV pictures and Jason said he didn't touched the puck. However if they don't change this statistik thing, and he made two points yesterday, he'll be our topscorer, wearing the flame helmet and the topscorer shirt on tuesday. But at all it was also not a very good game from him like from the whole team, despite of the points, he had lots of solos that went wrong or passes that didn't received the teammates:
http://www.nationalleague.ch/NL/spie...20131105071088

And for all the ladies in here, what a nice picture, seems thats a real gentleman!
