SPECTOR’S NOTE: Interesting to see more Toronto-based pundits starting to chime in on Shannon’s initial report, and good to see Shannon following-up on his initial report.

He's far from making stuff up.
Thanks for posting this. Hi 5.

Not saying it IS true but you can't say yes even if it was
If it is true, you say nothing.

There is absolutely no evidence to support any of these rumours.

So we're just allowed to post stuff that random blogs say without any facts, and treat them as fact, even after the GM has flat-out denied it?

Making stuff up is exactly what he is doing.

Funny how all the other threads that can't back up their rumours get locked, or at the very least get merged into the Luongo thread.

If the price is right, why not consider Paul Stastny. The Avs have Duchene and O'Reilly at center so I'm sure the Avs are willing to listen

It's a fine line about reporting rumors and factual trades. Many of Burke's trades have been talked about before they happened. I think most us were caught off guard with the Phaneuf trade. Otherwise we've known about certain players before they were moved:

Kaberle
Kessel
JVR and Schenn

PS - John Shannon spoke of Burke making a play for Bobby Ryan early in the summer. I wonder if people will take him seriously now.

He probably did, considering Anaheim's GM has a solid relationship trade wise with burke. Probably didnt like the price though(plus we're fine on the wings.)

I would be esctatic if it just tok franson+2nd+bozak, ultimately bozak while solid is a temporary solution or a solid 3rd line C. But I wouldnt miss him or franson like crazy.

It's pretty bizarre that the most likely choice, Connolly, is not an option and if you want him you are railroaded into making him second even though there is almost 0 chance of Grabovski playing with Kessel. So yes, I voted for Grabo but since Connolly is our next best playmaker it's a no brainer he would get a good chance at the top line assuming JVR doesn't work out, which I doubt he will.
