johnny, an NHL player isnt going to be intimidated by the thought of getting beaten down by a goalie. what theyre gonna remember is how often an apparently awesome and difference-making goaltender can be made to snap if you push him.

the trouble is, its happened at least 3 times in the last year with the kid. it is 100% clear to the league that the kid can be goaded into losing his cool. until he fixes that, they will prey on that without mercy.

Nobody enjoys getting the crap beaten out of them. You think Hextall didn't intimidate the opposition? With his reputation, he could get his point across with a look.

There will always be guys that drive the net hard that will pay the price, but there are many that will want no part of it.
