Dunno, I noticed when I started it back at the end of September that he was on their trading block, and when looking at what I had that they would want, both Tlusty and Dalpe were on it.
Truth be told, Iginla's celebrity is the only reason that deal wouldn't work in real life. Calgary should be so lucky as to slash $5m from their cap hit and get a top-9'er, decent prospect and a pick for a 35-year-old UFA-to-be. But it wouldn't happen because it's Jarome ****ing Iginla and they'd make a Nash-trade type of spectacle about shopping him. Some other team would go overboard to get him.
So, Jussi Trollinen may or may not have gotten into the Knob Creek during last nites Seahawks game then passed out on his couch.
I did however, get the Kings game in tho.

We'll go over some stuff in the film room soon enough to tighten up a bit, don't wanna over do it too much though, we pride ourselves on our fast paced run and gun style, but even with that said, 35 shots is still too high. After the performances the past two days however, I'm gonna go ahead and give the guys friday off. 24 hours to get away and relax a bit before we get back to work against San Jose on saturday.

Wardo got the puck ahead of the forward and he see me I think racing down, so he make risky long pass. I'm able to settle it down as I cross their blue line with only one man to beat. I'm by the side board so no really room to try to deke him, so I take a chance and shoot high and hard rather than take hit. And lucky for us it find a hole.

After that he just made a picture perfect shot.

The goals will come Raleigh, I can promise you that. (Intentionally silly southern drawl) And I hope ya'll are gettin' ready for this undefeated behemoth to roll into Raleigh, North Car'lina after two more games.

The game was still kinda close at that point and I shouldn't have bitten but I did. We got the win though so, even though he knocked me down, I'll take that trade any day of the week.
I'll post the box score and highlights of this game when I get home, but in the mean time. After this game as over, Washington offered me Mike Green for Victor Rask, Zach Boychuk and a 2013 2nd.
We have a couple days to debate this before I have to say yes or no

Jesus, do you even need to debate that one? The only question is whether you can get them to take an offensive RHD off our hands instead of Rask or the pick.

I can try lol, someone throw out a trade suggestion and I'll see what they say. Other than Winnipeg no one was a worse rep with me than they do, so it's not like we can burn any bridges trying to short change them.

I'd see if they'd take Sangs in place of the 2nd. There's no reason to keep him in addition to Green, Faulk, Corvo and Murphy.
Of course it depends on who's on their "want" list.
So apparently Keegan Lowe is on their "want" list, so I subbed him out for Rask and added Kivistö who also is on there list. I tried taking away the 2nd but they said "******* off" so unless we offer Rask I guess that's a sticking point for them.
I offered:
Mike Green
Zach Boychuk
Keegan Lowe
Tommi Kivistö
2013 2nd & 3rd
And they agreed
There's also their original proposal of:
Mike Green
Victor Rask
Zach Boychuk
2013 2nd
Which (if any) do we prefer? Or should more tinkering be involved, or should we just forfeit Mike Green talks all together? Personally, I kinda like the first one, even tho it leaves us without a pick in the first three rounds (welcome to Calgary folks) tho if we do it, we'll need to trade a defenceman, cause we'll have 7 NHLer's unless we wanna pay someone to sit in the press box.

In my Be a GM, I did some pretty weird stuff. Signed Paul Ranger, traded Corvo for a 2nd, traded Stewart for a 2nd, traded Spacek (dunno why he was on the team) for a 4th.
Traded LaRose + 1st for Doan.
Ended up using Doan on my third line, so I decided to trade him...to Boston with a 2nd and a 3rd for Hamilton and Maxime Sauve (random AHLer/4th line depth)
So currently my lineup is:
Semin-Eric-Jordan
Skinner-Jokinen-Ruutu
Tlusty-Brent-Samson (Not too great)
Bowman-Dwyer-Sauve (Again, not too great)
Gleason-Ranger
Pitkanen-Faulk
Harrison-McBain
After this season, I'm going to trade away some of the defense, bring in Hamilton and Murphy...and use some of my cap space to sign a UFA or RFA...
EDIT: Sorry about hijacking your thread, Trollinen.

I guess it comes down to whether you want this to look like a realistic deal or a standard EA quantity-for-quality ripoff deal. McBain is a much better asset than any of the others discussed so far, and is a semi-rational replacement for Green on the Caps. Still a lopsided deal, but not SO lopsided that cap concerns couldn't make it happen IRL.
On the other hand, we could just rip them off and have like 5 RHD on the roster in a couple years. The idea of forming a deal around Boychuk, Lowe and some low picks is hard to pass.

I'm well aware you can rip off the computer quite easily in these games, so in an attempt to produce realism, I'm trying to make deals that would be plausible IRL.
Not always gonna happen, but Boychuk, Kivistö and a pick seems like a big underpayment from our end.
