All Michaletti does is give you the play by play of the replay. He provides ZERO insight into the game.
JD coming back to kick this guy out would be awesome.
Michaletti is very good compared to other color guys. Sam and Joe are two of the better announcers of the league. Just listen to ROOT sports in Pittsburgh and you will never complain again.
One of my favorite calls from the Penguins crew from the Rangers-Pens game last year:
Steigerwald: "It looks like Malkin got away with a hook on Gaborik there..."
Errey: "Well, why shouldn't he?"

Twitter got Kerdiles in trouble. He got suspended from NCAA hockey for one year.
Quote:
Sources told Bucky's 5th Quarter Sunday that the situation started because a photo on twitter surfaced of Kerdiles out to dinner at the NHL Draft with representatives from Pulver Sports.
As we said in our initial report, it's certainly not an NCAA violation to be at the dinner, but the student-athlete would be required to pay for his own meal.
It's also not against the rules for a student-athlete to associate with an advisor, as long as the player doesn't receive any special benefits. The student-athlete is also required to compensate the advisor for any services provided.
Even if Kerdiles did get a free meal, a one-year suspension is like sending someone to the gas chamber for jaywalking. There has to be more to do with this than just a picture of a kid out to dinner.
When Bucky's 5th Quarter started to do some digging, it took us less than 10 minutes to find another NCAA violation. Posted directly from the twitter account of agent Ian Pulver, there is a picture of Kerdiles, Yakupov, and Galchenyuk at the NHL combine in Toronto.
In the picture (posted above), you can see the three players holding up and promoting supplements from BioSteel Sports.
Kerdiles can't be associated with BioSteel. He will be going to the WHL. Unless his parents want to pay for his schooling for a year. Pulver knows better. He was a NHLPA attorney before becoming a player agent.
not sure where to but this but im sure everyones craving hockey as much as i am right now, Dynamo vs HC Lev Praha is being televised on espn 2
Ovi vs Chara
Not sure where else to put this...I know a lot of us on here were pretty high on Mackenzie MacEachern last draft.
Check out this ridiculous goal:

However, I have been told that the next time Roberto Luongo plays in the NHL, he will play for the Toronto Maple Leafs. It is from a reputable source. End of story.

can you waste a bad joke? while agree that Lou probably gets the Leafs into the playoffs, who's dropping out for them? Will the Sens drop off enough for the Leafs to leapfrog them, and what about Buffalo and Carolina, both of whom would have to be in the mix for the top 8?
The leafs would be in the hunt for the playoffs, but IMO they join a group of teams( including the rangers) who would be fighting for spots in the lower half of the playoff bracket

Ummmm - OK. Drop the puck and we will see about that

Of course we will (if they ever sort their crap out). It's personal opinion (obviously), but I think the Rangers will drop slightly, while the Pens and Flyers get slightly better, meaning we finish bottom half,

That's all nice and rosie that you share your opinion of what you think would happen, but it'd be nice if you gave reason and logic behind it. Because from what I've seen neither the Flyers or Penguins improved this past offseason. Both teams missed out on multiple free agents. The Rangers improved significantly but yet they are going to drop? I scoff at your opinion.
The Leafs have better players in front of their netminder than Buffalo, Carolina, and I think even Ottawa. And I'm considering talent, experience, and overall depth. But they have absolutely not had the goaltending. Luongo solves that problem.

Extremely debatable.
Carolina is probably the most improved team and Buffalo severely underachieved last season.
Luongo isnt playing in a doormat division anymore either if he goes to Toronto.
