as long as he stays healthy it's success. don't know how much the pts matter in that league. nothing against that league.

Colin Greening has signed for a three game try out in the Danish league. Not sure what that is about. Perhaps he has some business to do in Denmark and wanted to play a little while he's here.

I think for the matter of fact that he arrived last week, this is not bad, but as I said before, a Player out of the NHL should be maybe underchallenged, ok its a Teamsport, but an Individual with class can change a lot in this league. I bet he will score lots of points if he can stay for some games and if he stays healthy. And Lausanne is not a bad team, they went in this season with the ambition to climb up to NLA (we have this system of NLA and NLB are not closed, at the end of the season the worst Team of NLA will have a relegation against the best team of NLB)
The statistics of this game:

Don't know if it has any meaning, but for the record, Regin's goal was shorthanded..

Erik Karlsson is expected to make his decision today about extending his contract with Jokerit Helsinki.

Quote:
"We need to do the decision today and I'm going to talk with my agent first."

"At the moment I'm just thinking about playing this week. I've enjoyed my time here and this has been the best option for me after playing in the NHL. Whenever I'm leaving Jokerit it's a hard place for me, even if it's Ottawa."

"The level of the game is a lot tougher than I expected."
Even though I hate Jokerit I'd love to see Karlsson in SM-liiga for the duration of lockout.

What does that even mean? That the Finnish league is better than he thought?

See thats the bad thing about players going to Europe. Its great for us to see where they go to play, and if your lucky, get a chance to see some of them play in person but at some point they get attached to the team and want to stick out the rest of the season.

EK just signed a 7 year deal to stay here. I think we're good.

The lockout represents a HUGE opportunity for Regin: he gets the opportunity to play a bunch of games in a pro league (yes, it's clearly a few steps below the NHL) and get back into game shape months before season starts (whenever the two sides can get their collective arses in gear and reach an agreement).

One of my biggest worries with Regin, outside of his shoulder exploding again, was that he would come into the 2012-13 Sens training camp having played so little hockey over the past 18 months, and not only have to fight other players for a spot, but also his own "rink rust". Playing in Europe right now can only help Regin. It's a big, big plus.

Its like letting your girl go out for the night with another dood. Just gotta trust. Also if you have the girls name down on a 7 year contract that wouldn't hurt either.

Here's an interview of Erik Karlsson when he was having a day-off with Valtteri Filppula. They were being taught how to drive on track by Rally double World Champion Marcus Grönholm.

^ Some key points from the interview.

-As glassbangers wrote earlier, Karlsson thought that the level of play in the FEL was better than he maybe thought. The game's been really good, good level of tempo and skill.

-Karlsson is paired with Teemu Eronen, who's an offensive defenseman and this gives Erik opportunity to work on his defensive play. He considers himself the defensive player in their pairing.

-Has played 30-minute games and can get tired and has been tired. But is used to playing a lot and on a good day can play forever.

-Was asked what he will miss when he's going back to NHL. Similarities, feels like being home (Sweden's the neighboring country). Will miss Jokerit team-mates. And of course is going to miss Jarkko Ruutu who is the main reason he came to Finland. Is really good friends with him since the time Jarkko played in Ottawa.

Does anyone remember how terrible Bryan McCabe was in Europe during the last lockout?

Anyway...seems like some progress is being made.

Don Cherry @CoachsCornerCBC
For those who gave up following the negotiations of the players and owners, I'll catch up for you. The deal 50-50 deal seems to be agreed on

Erik Karlsson has accepted a new contract with Jokerit. Once again it's an one-month-deal and after that they will talk about extension.

Source.
