granlund dominates/outplays opponents by his vision, and that's the only way he will ever dominate. what kind of "domination" are you hoping to see from him? he is average AHL player without his vision, by his vision he can be much more, but how much that time will only tell.

I agree. His stickhandling and wrist shot just screams average.

Agreed! It's indeed the case that by his decent stickhandling and good wrist shot he possesses enough attributes to make him an average AHLer. Had he not even those "traits" (and no vision) he would be some ECHL scrub at most or more likely a beer league regular. It's his VISION (related stuff) that makes him stand out. Thus it's incorrect to assume that somehow in near future Granlund could "dominate plays" or "outplay opponents" in some outstanding or flashy fashion like this comment implies:

I feel like Granlund is not outplaying anybody just yet. Full year in the AHL and he might start to dominate plays.
Granlund is no Jagr or Bure; he won't "outplay" anybody by speed, he won't "dominate" anybody by strength. This is of course obvious. Yes, Granlund will improve, get better and adjust but he "dominates" already in that mainly invisible but effective way players in his mold do.

I agree that his strongest trait is vision but you can dominate with your vision just like some players dominate physically. Gretzky is pretty good example of that.

Like I said in the GDT, getting 5 points out of 6 in 3 days isn't bad.

3rd game in three days really showed. The guy who makes AHL-schedules should be fired.

Good flashes from Granlund at times (he was bad in the 2nd period with the rest of the team, tho) and I did like Brodin's play. He's a stud. Larsson was a big meh and Coyle (how did he miss that backdoor pass on the PP?) wasn't good at all tonight but I guess it's understandable - a lot of guys didn't look very good.

IIRC, Zucker got a concussion when he played with U. of Denver last year which likely doesn't sound good.

Let's hope I'm wrong.

EDIT: Actually, it was in WJHC last year.

That's how the AHL has always worked. They play primarily on Friday/Saturday/Sunday because people just don't show up to the games during the middle of the week.

Correct.

The reason the NHL limits to three is I believe due to TV. The networks want to get hockey the hell off the TV so they can show poker and NASCAR (which get them more viewers).

Charlie Coyle is doing an AMA on ******.

For those unfamiliar... it's a Q & A session where you can ask Charlie Coyle a question.

He's taking questions today, and will answer them tomorrow.
