The Moser Medical Graz 99ers (Vanek) vs EHC Liwest BW Linz game - to be played Friday afternoon - October 12 - 1:10 pm EST - can view at the following link - http://www.laola1.tv/en/int/ice-hock...34--96856.html

Anyone know what is up with Ennis? According to the match reports - he hasn't played the last three games for his team in Switzerland due to an injury. Anyone know what that injury is? Hopefully its not serious.

Idk the Swiss/NLA media well enough to find a reliable news outlet; but I can confirm that he's been out with an injury since his first game:
Quote:

Link: http://www.nationalleague.ch/NL/aktu...930_news_1.php
...and by looking at the last match report, he's listed under 'alle verletzt' which means all injured, so he's still sidelined:
Quote:
Bemerkungen:
SCL Tigers ohne Ennis, Bäumle, Haas, Sandro Moggi, Simon Moser (alle verletzt) und Pelletier (überzählig).

Ennis played against Ambri last saturday. He shot a teammade in the face breaking his jaw, but the puck went to another teammade who scored, so he got an assist there.

Can't finde the article where I got this some days ago, only another one where it says he run into a check late in the game.

Sekera played 21:18 with 3 SOG and 2 PIM in Slovan's 3-2 SO loss this morning.

The SCL Tigers lost 4-3 to Bern this afternoon, but Ennis was again scratched from the game; the club could use him as they currently sit second-from-the-bottom in the league table.

Myers is expected to fly into Graz on Tuesday with an afternoon press conference, the time of which has yet to be announced. [LINK]

Tomorrow, Ehrhoff has a game scheduled for 10:00AM and Vanek at 11:30AM; and on Monday, Sekera faces off against Ak Bars Kazan at 11:00AM.

Rekordmeister means record champs, the KAC (that's what they're usually called) won the Austrian title for a record 29 times. Actually their nickname is "Rotjacken" which means "red jackets".

Honestly, this is the best part of the lockout, for me. Being able to read the excited posts from the Euro fans as they get to see some of these guys live for the first time makes me appreciate how fortunate most of us are to have the team relatively close, geographically speaking.

I'm still waiting for people to sign for my team , don't quite think anyone is interested in the English league, nevermind the fact my local team is below the top tier. Mike Babcock used to be a player/coach for them though. I guess i'll just stick to watching AHL hockey for now.

Great opportunity for any fans in countries that can actually draw NHL players though. The best part about it would be not staying up to 3am to watch it.

By here, you mean EBEL?
He signed with the "most hated" KAC Klagenfurt in Austria, same team Myers signed with.

"Most hated"?

Who are you, a VSV Fan? ;-)

I don't like both carinthian (I hope i spelled the english word for "Kärnten" correct, if not, I don't care much) Clubs, und I love seeing two good NHL Players in my country. I'm very excited seeing Myers in live action over here :-)

Thanks to everyone who gave info about Ennis injury either in this thread or the injury thread.

Well if the NHL season doesn't start on Nov. 2 - we will have a matchup of Sabres players as Vanek and Moser Medical Graz 99ers plays Myers and EC KAC that day. Hopefully that lao1tv link shows the game.

Well, last week it was reported that Sulzer had been training with a club in Germany and was close to signing, so I'd say that this was expected even with news of the CBA proposal and the inevitable counters.

Myers and Gagner both featured in today's game for KAC, which they lost in a shootout. Myers was +1 and paired with Kirk Furey. Vanek had an assist in his EBEL game.

In the DEL H2H matchup, Sulzer has an assist while Ehrhoff has a goal and an assist. Ehrhoff is trailing 3-2 in the third though.

Ennis remains sidelined in Switzerland.
