So, I heard your responses to the 2 pt conversion question, but it just seems to me like it was always more likely that we'd be in this position than the ones you guys described. TN has 2 minutes to go 20 yards and win the game.
If we were up 5 they probably would have tried a FG on the last possession, and then we'd lose on a FG if they made it.
I was thinking that too...on the other hand, 2 timeouts will be useful for the offense trying to get into field goal range here. It's a tough call.
You save far more time calling timeout on defense than on offense, since you control your offense's pace. You definitely want to have 1 to set up the FG, but I'd rather have 1:40 and 1 timeout than 1:00 and 2 timeouts.
I'm not even surprised truthfully. I really don't want to hear how Fitz is a smart QB..... 63 seconds on the clock and 2 Timeouts left. First two plays are 2 passes over the middle for 8 yards...... Genius
