Erie looked like the smaller and likely less physical team, and they didn't win one-on-one battles via muscle.....but they seemed well coached enough to think a step ahead and throw three skaters out that could cycle hard on pretty much every line while the Stars didn't hustle or get gritty consistently enough to properly respond. They were frequently beaten to and often worked off of the puck, and I'd be surprised if there weren't at least four or five times they allowed Erie to flex hard enough to send four skaters in on breakaways as if they knew Texas had no counter-attack. The repeated flubs in transitions proved 'em right.
Hope Vincour's okay, though. May be time to consider who the hell should be coaching.
0-3 weekend. Completely dominated in all three games (probably should've lost the 2nd game vs San Antonio as well before the comeback). Gave up 14 goals in those 3 games, being outscored 14-4. Campbell played a whole 43 minutes out of 180 minutes this weekend. Austin Smith played one game. Glennie none. Defense looks absolutely awful.
Don't see how anything could be overreaction at this point.
lol ... I forgot Benn played winger this game. That was maddening.
