Briere got knocked off the puck hard. Went sliding into the boards. He looks fine though. Hopped right back up and kept skating.

Giroux with a perfect pass. 3-0 Ice Bears. His passing has been so nice to see all game. Making everyone around him better.

The atmosphere at this game is better than most NHL games I've ever watched

Just got back from a Sheffield Steelers game...

Sestito looked great until he got a game misconduct for a headshot (duno if merited or the injury made the ref give it out, seemed shoulder to shoulder and the shoulder rode up into head, then head went into glass), hopefully the guy he hit is ok, as it was a brutal hit, he was on the ice for 5mins and taken off on a spinal board.

Guy off the other team then (understandably) instigated a fight with him, and Sestito leathered him.

Sestito has been destroying the EIHL in more ways than one since coming over, looking the best of maybe any of the NHL players in the league (Drew Miller, Belesky, Anthony Stewart), he is the only one at more than PPG pace so far.

Haha, the hit did look very Lindros-esque! Similar to the one Lindros delivered to Dackall in pure force (not angle or contact point).

If he stayed in the EIHL he would be the Steelers very own Lindros...

He sure can play when not fighting at this, very mediocre, probably ECHL, level, maybe slightly better... the guys who got 1 PPG in the ECHL get about 1 PPG here.

Yep, both Chris Stewart and Wayne Simmonds are rumored to leave Germany for the Czech Extraliga. One team's interest has been named so far: Bili Tygri Liberec. (40 yr old Petr Nedved plays there, as well as Ladislav Smid and Ondrej Pavelec - who btw has put up absolutely ridiculous numbers so far: 3.64 GAA and 0.891 SV in 8 games).

Hello,

as a Berlin based hockey player & fan I have been following this board for quite a while. It's such a joy to see Giroux & Briere playing in Berlin. Don't worry, we treat them very well...

Maybe I can provide with some links or information during the lock out.

Dan
