Stylin' Threads

In recent years we've seen some hockey 'lifestyle' companies pop up like Sauce and Gongshow Gear.

So who are you reppin'? What stuff do you find to be the most stylish hockey lifestyle stuff out there?

I'll add in Warrior in there. Big fan.

Very very interesting to see how hockey, which has been a very traditionalist sport and industry, has developed a trendier, louder and more youthful lifestyle. I think the big propagator of that was Warrior bringing in their vision from lacrosse.

I love the Bardown stuff personally. The actual stuff they make is cool and it's a way better price than Gongshow

Meh, I'm not a huge BarDown fan. They seem to overuse the same logo. However, I do like using their website. It's much more user friendly now than it was before.

I think I have like 4 Gongshow hats, 3 tees and a hoodie. Love it, it's creative and it began the whole Clothing for hockey players trend.

Anybody wear #HartnellDown? I got a toque last winter broke it out last week.

I don't know if I'm really into the "hockey clothes" look. Besides, I feel like I haven't been playing long enough/am not good enough to be wearing things that say "gongshow" and "Bar-down!" on them ahha.

I don't have money for clothes, but some of the Warrior stuff is nice. I don't think I could get too cocky because I'm an adult rec league player.

I have "4thline grit, 5thline talent" shirt that I wear. It gets lots of compliments - probably because it's 100% true.

Bauer doesn't really focus on the lifestyle aspect of their brand as much as the others mentioned.

I have this shirt, which is cool.

I tend to like the Bauer stuff because it's interesting, but not as flashy as the Warrior or Sauce stuff. I'm also a terrible a player so don't want to stand out TOO much, lol.

I find most of their stuff very classic looking; not a bad style at all.

'hockey style' begins and ends with the "Give Blood, Play Hockey" line of clothing from the 90s.

Gongshow's "Art of Sacrifice" shirt and Warrior's Hesher cap is all I've got. I've blocked a bunch of shots on D so far and I love the old gimme cap look of the Hesher.

I wish they had more things for women players - all the women's stuff seems to be geared more towards puck bunnies rather than women who play. That being said, I do want this shirt:

ugh IKR. I remember thinking the gongshow hockey advisory hat was kind of adorable, but I told some guys at the rink and they just laughed at me, saying they didn't think I was that kind of girl. Ok...

Live the dream does some cute women's tees, although they seem to be updating their store right now.

Then there's whip hockey, which is for women only

I like Warrior's stuff, but actually have only a cap and a hoodie from them, usually wear that stuff for the rink. Other than that I don't advertize that I am playing rec hockey. I have a Michigan Hockey cap, which I really like, but do not wear often, as it's kinda fleshy.
