Come on! He'll get to play with an assortment of Prust, Moen and some Blunden. With some luck he'll be on a line with the great Palushaj, a notorious game changer.
Hopefully we retain Bourque. Galchenyuk would look great with such a dynamic and enthousiastic player
So Timmins pretty much thinks the same about Gally. I still think Galchenyuk is more an offensive dynamo than a 2-way forward. Not everyone will agree but that's my opinion. Lack of good teammates skew the perception of his offensive abilities.
The only forwards in the system or on the big team (under 25) that have first line upside.
I don't know about that. Granted, every forward prospect drafted outside the top 10 or 15 is fighting the odds to ever become an NHL first liner... but have Gallagher, Hudon and Bozon shown that they absolutely cannot develop to that point? With health/luck and steady upward development, I wouldn't rule it out, for players of their ages and levels of production at lower levels.

That's the only part of your post that is correct. Plus why exactly can't he be both? Crosby, Datsyuk and Toews are both offensive dynamos AND 2-way players. Galchenyuk has been known for his crazy backchecking for years now, minus that 1 lazy play friday. I still have a feeling that Galchenyuk's true coming out party in the league will be in december during the WJC.

first of all I didn't say he can't be both. I just see him more as an offensive player than a 2-way player atm. It doesn't mean he isn't good defensively. And for your information, when Crosby first came in the NHL, he took many bad decisions and had many turnovers but that didn't make him a bad player. I don't know why people get so defensive when I say that Gally has more offensive potential than I thought but isn't the perfect 2-way player yet as he was described. He's 18 yo ffs, he can't be the perfect player yet. I'm just really glad he's gonna be a stud offensively and probably pretty good 2-way player down the road.

An offensive dynamo is a player with exceptional offensive skills. Being a solid 2-way player is an additional descriptive that can be applied to the same player.

A player that is said to be a ''Offensive dynamo'' literally is a player that creates things (metaphorical ''sparks'') offensively. I have no idea how you think this attribute is exclusive

I think you have it all wrong......unless you didn't notice how Crosby's been scoring at a 136 point pace in the past two injured seasons? Or the fact that his PPG never dipped below his rookie, 102-point season?
