Agent said it's just a bone in his foot I think. Not the ankle.

Yeah guess so. And yes a broken ankle will take more than 6 weeks for the most part.

I don't think we'll start to regret that contract immediately, but in a couple years we might.

I'd rather have an overpaid Salvador than no hockey.

Yeah I feel the same way. I'd rather have Boulton back than no hockey.

Alright that's pushing it.

as much as i love him, i honestly dont think volch would be missed much if the season does commence at some point in time (and he isnt ready to go)

Edit: read now that it's a small bone in the foot, not ankle really.
Break is probably 2-3 months, fracture is a lot shorter.

He'd be missed. Our PK would definitely suffer without him.

Yeah cause when he our PK sucked against Florida it's no coincidence he was sucking majorly. I still think our PK won't be as good, but that's probably my biggest worry in losing him. Hopefully one of the other D men can try and fill this role. Zidlicky sucked on the PK from what I remember so I hope it isn't him. Greene, or Fayne would be a good option.

Break and fracture, in doctor speak, is the same thing.

A fracture is a broken bone. A broken bone is a fracture.

Broken is a total break in the bone, fracture is a separation on the inside of the bone. Fracture is less painful and heals quicker. Most of the time this holds true.

You're wrong. Ask any doctor.

I realize many think it is so, but the fact is if you go to the ER, they xray you and come out and say "you broke a bone" it could mean anything from a little hairline of a crack to the bone being in two pieces.

Yes, a break is a fracture but a fracture isn't a break. Something along the lines of that. Fractures are generally less serious and less painful then breaks.

Harrold did go to Boston College, but the fact that he is bright does not mean he has the capability to light travel, especially at a faster rate when comparing him to a train

Now I'm confused My wife has a fractured ankle right now, so I'm kind of in the middle of all that. So far as I have understood it, they just make no difference between fractured and broken. The doctor was very affirmative with that since we kind of asked "is it broken or just fractured" and he said "there is no difference". I'll ask him about it next time for sure.

I back up your doctor. The general impression, IMO, is that fractures are less serious than a break, but they really both mean the same thing and the general impression is wrong.

In Hell Zeon's lineup there would be 18 Kovy's. He would have Kovy cloned, and we would get every skater, and goalie as a Kovy.

In actuality though I wouldn't mind a little more than half a team of Kovalchuk's though.
