I think White,Hanifin and Fitzgerald are from Mass. they would be drafted in the Q, Might be wrong though.

You are correct.

Brandon Warren is not the type of player you can assess based on points. How is he away from the puck? How smart is he? Who is he playing with? Warren is a top 15 pick in the little that I have seen of him.

Lets not get to aggressive at putting down kid thou, sure they have areas to develop, but just because a kid goes pointless in a weekend tournament doesn't make him a bad prospect, hes 15.

TheScoutingNews has been outet many, many times for being what it is.

you are correct-my apologies--i would believe however that elite players should be dominating at u16 to warrant a top 20-30 spot for the draft--that is all

No need to appologize. Just remember its more then points that make a player.

There are a few sites out there who are very lazy with their OHL Draft coverage, but I think those involved with the OHL know who those are.
As of right now your correct. When the time comes for the OHL draft, Korostelev will be eligible from what ive heard right now. Its a non issue.

As far as websites with OHL draft mock ups, they arent of any value to me. Ive never agreed with any of them. Last Year, I was the only one who talked about Spencer Watson in a very high regard on the regular on this site. All the scouts I talk to didnt have him first round, I always did. S.Watson and Mcdavid are the only point per game rookies.

Aware it's not an issue, that's why I said he will be eligible soon in that post you quoted

120% its always about the complete player not only about points and scoring--there are alot of scorers--its about the complete player

Of couse it's jumping the gun. It's not official. He could decide against entering the draft. It's happened in the past with one high end player in past years. If he wants to be an OHL pick, which I do believe he does, then there won't be an issue. Teams don't list players until they are on Central Scouting's list, because its premature.

Not looking to get into arguments thanks. See you in the rinks.

I watched another Don Mills game. The more i watch them the more I think size will not hinder Mitch Marner. His balance is unreal, he just absorbs hits. Marner rarely loses a faceoff. Mitch Marner has a very high hockey IQ and excellent sense of whats about to happen. He can change direction without slowing down. He had 4 points in the game I watched. He is tough to defend. He plays a two way game. He has 17 points in 10 games so far. He is one player who stirs up lots of debate about where exactly he stands in his draft class. He reminds me of Theo Fleury.

We have a couple new scouting reports up on Mitch Marner, Nikita Korostelev, and Sam Harding:

http://www.thescoutingreport.org/201...arner-harding/

We'll be continuing with these throughout the year, albeit it on a very random basis in terms of who is featured.

Well, their bench seems to be awfully short; especially on defence.

I know they never got the one boy from Halton as he could not get his release.....Copabianco also moved to Oakville, so that hurt.

Tough to add a quality d-man or two at this stage.

So they are pretty much done this season. Tough to win championships and tournaments with such a short bench, especially against so many other good teams who are not shorthanded.

Certainly the number one organization in the province at recruiting top kids, has definitely hit a lean patch and I would agree trying to be competitive over the long term with only 4 d-men rostered is very tough.

Somewhere along the line, clearly some miscalculations occurred.

They lost Connor Schlichting as well to York Simcoe. Kyle Capobianco and Schlichting were probably the 2 best bantam Dmen they had last year. Both were called up to play MM last year. Its nice to see other teams shine. Ken Strong was a pretty big reason that players wanted to play with the MM marlboros team as well.

Capobianco (Oakville) and Henley (Oakville): best D pairing for 97s. Henley - sure 1st rounder and Capobianco along with him.
