I think it could be a good match up. Forrest isn't particularly easy to take down or submit and his striking likely is better than Davis'. At the very least it will give us a clearer idea of where Davis is at right now.
I don't doubt the potential of the fight, it just doesn't really interest me.
Cerrone vs. Jim Miller or Eddy Alvarez(if signed by the UFC). Hes got a few options...Cerrone is one of my favorites.
Alvarez won't be coming to the UFC anytime soon. I just saw an interview he did the other day and he said Bellator has an exclusive 90 day negotiating period. When the 90 days are up he can start negotiating with the UFC and once they agree on a contract, Bellator is allowed to look over the offer and decide whether they want to match it or not. The earliest we'll see Alvarez fight in the UFC is probably March/April.
Cerrone said he wants to fight soon and will consider other options if Pettis isn't ready. A fight against Miller wouldn't be bad.

Yeah thats what I was thinking. Cerrone is arguably the #3 LW right now without a fight unless Pettis comes back before January. Miller would be good..hell i'd even like a 3rd fight with Varner. It wouldn't make sense rankings wise but it'd be fun. Del Rosario and Barry is a fun fight.

“@davedoylemma: Report: Rashad Evans to meet Antonio Rogerio Nogueira on Super Bowl Weekend http://sbn.to/RVOKhP ”
Another wrestler for Nogueira. He's 37 years old and nearing the end of his career, can't they just give him someone who won't take him down and lay on him?
Unfortunately, Rashad should win this one rather easily. Probably a one-sided decision.

I think Rashad will have no problems standing and trading with Nog.
I dont see why people think this is a bad fight for Nog, I see it as a huge opportunity to parlay himself into title contention. I don't think he will win, but if he wants to make a run at the title beating the #2 or #3 guy in the division is a great start.

Yeah Nog-lite is still a dangerous fighter..heavy hands and a solid ground game but I expect Rashad to take it via UD.

I agree that Rashad will likely win, but it's a great chance for Nog. With a win he could easily end up with a title shot depending on the timing of the other 205 fights.
