Thinking of making a all Minnesota player team. Anyone know a easy way to find that online? I know you can sort by country on NHL.com but I want by state. I'd even take AHL players. It would be a blast.
I did this. You'll find there's about a dozen NHL caliber defensemen and you'll have to search to fill out the forwards. For goalies Jeff Frazee and Alex Stalock are probably the best rated.

Nice... my weekend starts tonight so I'll start messing with it. Probably bust out some old North Stars uni's or something. I'll probably throw myself in net as the main goalie though. Thanks for the input.
So I finally finished my pro's season in the CHL and got drafted 1st overall by Dallas. I thought "Not my first choice, but okay. Dallas has Eriksson, Benn, Lehtonen, etc. That's pretty cool. Plus I can wear the North Star's jersey when I feel like it."
..."Oh bummer Jagr and Whitney both retired right before I got drafted. Well that's unfortunate. It'll still be okay."
..."Wait...why are Benn, Lehtonen, Morrow, Roy, Ryder, and Bachman all listed in the free agents section? ...oh."
So now as I start my first NHL season the top line is Eriksson, Fiddler (76 overall), and Fraser (70 overall). But don't worry, M. Fine is on the NHL team and he's a whole 60 overall. Also, our goalie is Jack Campbell who is a 69 overall. Seriously, how does this even happen now that the game has "improved AI"?
Guess I'll be going after that trophy for requesting a trade...
I have 5 first round picks and 4 third round picks. All from trading people drafted in the last three years. All except 2 were from the fourth round or later and weren't any good. Three of the first rounders are from the bottom three in the western conference. Superstar GM, too. Thanks EA.
Yeah, they added those like a year and a half ago.
I never knew/heard about it. I got my PS3 about a year and a half ago...didn't see it in the settings anywhere, especially in the CONTROLLER SETTINGS MENU.
If you're in your roster management screen and sending them down from the NHL squad, you don't get a choice of where to send them, they will automatically go to whatever team the game feels is right, either AHL or CHL.
It may not send them to the CHL yet during pre-season, though. They will go there automatically if they are not on your NHL roster.
Im really having a hard time with the HUT. I've played a decent number of games, but I dont really get anywhere. When I finally get a decent amount of pucks I have to spend most of it on bronze packs so I can get contracts for my players. Ive managed to get enough pucks for two gold packs but everything I got is no higher than 80 ovr, and is worth about 300 pucks on the transfermarket.
What to do? Just play a load of games and hope for a decent player you can trade for a couple of thousand pucks on the transfermarket?

The only ppl who like HUT fall into one of two categories:
1. Rich valley kids who use Daddy's credit card to buy a good team.
2. Players who just collect enough to get the certain players they want and play mostly CPU games
I absolutely loved the idea of HUT when it came out, but it has always frustrated me beyond belief that I have given up on it completely now.
Best recommendation I can give: buy contracts from the trading section rather than buying a bronze pack for contracts. Spending 600 pucks in the trading section can get you more contracts per puck, since you should be able to find single-digit game contracts for the minimum at any given time.
Me personally, I would shop around the cheapest 20-25 game contracts. They have about 3x as many games as the single digit ones, but don't cost 3x more.
