Presentation overhaul tomorrow. Looking forward to it. We've been aiming for a more complete live stream presentation, and new concepts are being added on a frequent basis. One of the bittersweet advantages of having an extended lockout is our ability to develop our broadcasts. We have a lot of ideas in mind, so stay tuned.
Tomorrow night at 7:00 PM will be our live stream of the game against the Detroit Red Wings. We hope you'll join us then.
In terms of how I've moderated the chat, I've focused a lot on keeping score much like an in-game blogger would, though I'm beginning to wonder if it's necessary or if it really adds anything. At first, it was meant to generate enthusiasm, but it's becoming less effective and wasn't worth much on Thursday. Tomorrow night, I'll only moderate the chat and interact with our viewers. If somebody asks for the score, I'll happily let them know, and I'll be sure to answer questions, but it probably isn't necessary to announce every goal as it gets lost in everybody else's excitement.
Tomorrow's game should be fun. Also, Fake SportsCentre is being worked on as I post this. The next edition will be online this morning with updates on the Iginla situation and more.

Wyatt will likely try to promote the embedded feed at TheProvince.com, but most of the action, as well as the discussion, occurs at our Livestream.com location. I'll be sure to have him update the OP. In fact, I would set up a GDT for every match, but I'm not sure if you guys would approve. The GDTs could be locked after every game, but would serve to promote the match and keep fans informed.

Not bad, those are actually better than the SCF finals figures from this year.
Tonight's game was certainly, in my opinion, the most entertaining thus far. There was a lot of drama and intensity. I think everybody dropped their jaw when the Pittsburgh player had that empty net in the dying seconds of the third period. Luckily, players on both sides had been hitting the post all match. The two goaltenders, meanwhile, stood on their heads. What a game.
Generally, games against Crosby and the Penguins are highlighted on the schedule because of how dramatic they can be. This match delivered. It was very reminiscent of the Canucks vs Penguins match at GM Place in December 2007. Even in Fake world, there can be dull and exciting games. While yesterday's match against Detroit was fun, today's was fantastic even with the shootout loss.
On another note, our broadcasts should be much clearer very, very soon. We are very much looking forward to presenting our live streams in high quality.

Highlights from the Columbus Blue Jackets match are up! Breaking news (final decisions) regarding the various trades we've discussed over the past week. We have decided that, in order for a trade to be passed, the overwhelming majority (60% in favor) needs to support the trade. If fans are split about a trade, we would rather not make one half of the fans unhappy, thus we'd like to make sure most are supportive of each deal.
After double-checking with fans about whether they really wanted Iginla and establishing some rules regarding trades, many voters decided to oppose the deal.

The Fake Vancouver Canucks have brought a long-time player back to their roster today by acquiring veteran defenseman Sami Salo from Tampa Bay in exchange for Dale Weise and Darren Archibald. Some fans had questioned whether Salo's age would provide challenges for the team; most, however, voiced their confidence in him. Salo will make his return as a Canuck on Friday night against the Dallas Stars.

The Fake Canucks have rejected Fake Calgary Flames' proposal to send Jarome Iginla to Vancouver in exchange for Keith Ballard, Mason Raymond, and a 3rd round pick. When questioned about it, Jay Feaster would not comment. Instead, he tried to block everyone who asked.
On another note, can we get fake Willie Mitchell? That would be my fake dream come true

Unfortunately, the Kings would have to offer Mitchell to the Fake Canucks first. We've established a small procedure for trades.
In order for trade discussion to begin, another team must first propose a deal to the Fake Canucks. We would then provide a poll on Wyatt's blog for fans to vote on.
Generally, fans would have three days to vote or, if Wyatt establishes a deadline, until a specified date. In order to ensure the majority of fans are happy with any potential trade, at least 60% of the votes need to be in favor of the trade. We would like to try avoid having too many trades occur either, so we have given ourselves a trade limit this season; we will decide on that number in the next few days. On trade deadline day, however, we'll allow ourselves one extra trade -- if the season reaches that point.
Consequently, when a trade proposal appears in the future, we will ask whether we should use one of our trades or dismiss the offer.
