Not sure if Noreau will make it.

Neither am I. I like the game he brings and all of his improvements, though. He's still a relative longshot but his stock is rising.

Sure doesn't sound like the Q has changed Stefan.

His bad attitude and dirty play is robbing on Cedric Paquette.

Love what Bouchard did, adding another game to his suspension. To be honest, we'd have a better record without him in the lineup. He has a long way to go.

But, if I were a Devils fan, I'd be thrilled right now. Matteau is just out there trying to kill people. Lamoriello must be prettym happy with the pick. He is very, very, VERY physical and has great offensive skills. I think he needs to pick up his fighting but other than that he definitely has Milan Monkey Lucic potential.

He'll find the the balance sooner or later.

Matteau really isn't a fighter like Biggs was for the US team. He's a bit more of the dirty grinder profile.

Sounds like an exciting player. Plays with an edge and has the skill to go along with it. Will be interesting to see how he progresses.

He just keeps putting up points.

Hes averaging at about a PPG Pace currently in the Q. Plays a very physical game and can turn into a player that other teams hate to play against

I like the intensity but sometimes it's too much. He could cost us the President's cup. Obviously Halifax and Quebec are favorites because of the big names they have, but we have a balanced and deep team. We'll need Matteau when games will be intense, but sometimes he does too much.

You mean in terms of going over the edge? Or just penalties in general? Judging purely by the box scores he seems to have toned it down a little (meaning he hasn't been tossed in a couple games ).

Another goal for Matteau so far tonight

When Stefan Matteau turns his game on he's a top player. He controls the game and is a force. Just got his first of the game. #NJDevils

He's definitely coming along nicely. Could be our biggest piece in the playoffs.. I love his heavy shot

Whether he can find some control in the playoffs will be interesting to watch.

I hope he gets a long look for the U.S. WJC team. He could be a real "X" factor.

Look out for the game against DRU today, could be a nsty game with revenge from their last meeting. Good test for him to stay dicipline and show he has learn from last time.

Lou and Conte did their homework. I hated the pick at first since we have to give one up soon but Stefan has made me do a complete 180.

Same here, I was not pleased with the pick back in June but he's making me like it more and more every day.

Don't be surprised if Stefan makes the team out of camp. He looks like he belongs.

no way he makes the team outta camp, a young guy who relies on his physicality to make plays sounds like a guy who can get ruined by the agressiveness of the NHL if he's not full grown

Do you mean physically wise or maturity wise?
