No, the fourth, I think.
I usually don't evaluate a team after 2 or 3 games, though, especially with two of those coming up against the same team.

Quinn is the D-coach for the Avs now. Dean Chynoweth is the new headcoach of the Monsters. I would highly recommend to give Sacco a little bit more time, though. In my opinion Sacco is a really good coach and he'll show it.

I don't think he's the best, but I think that it will help that they're getting the Avs closer to what Sacco probably wants in a lineup. Neutralizing wastes of space like Gali, Wolski and Quincey and so on. I think we'll see a difference with a full season. I think he's learning with the players.

What i'm really curious to see is how in sync our LE staff will be with our NHL staff now. Also curious to see how Duchene rebounds and how Sacco and him handle a fresh start, whenver the season starts.

I thought you were surprised. That's why I wrote it. Just ignore my post subsequently.

I am a bit surprised. Seeing how less veterans this team has, how many young players and also rookies are on the roster it is a bit surprising to me how clever and tough they play and how organized they seem to be but I'm starting to believe they might be the right deal in the A.

This team is awesome. I don't know how long it'll last but it's so much fun to watch them. Go Monsters!

Not a bad team we've got down on the farm.

Im starting to reevaluate my stance on our goaltending. Always thought Aittokallio and Varly would be the 1-2 for us and that Pickard wouldnt be close to these two, now Im thinking this may change.

For the first time since Roy retired, if not even before that; I think we can actually say the Avs have Goaltending depth, and lots of it. Between Pickard/Aittokallio/Varlamov at least 1 of them will become a true star goalie in the NHL at this point, possibly 2 or 3 of them.

I'm looking forward to what these goalies can do in the future. We haven't had a good drafted goalie in a very long time.

Its been so much fun watching this team so far, I hope they can keep it up. I think they will be able to - deep on D and in goal, and while not hugely skilled up front they seem to be committed to their roles, aggressive on the forecheck and coming back on D.

Barrie has really been a revelation thus far - I liked what I saw in his short stint with the Avs but his confidence at this level is really nice to see.

Edit - was just looking at the team stats - was intrigued to see that Barrie is already a team leading +5 while Elliot tied for a team worst -2. Obviously not indicative of much in such a short sample size except reaffirming what we were seeing on the ice from Barrie.

Are the Monsters and Barons are the only two teams in the AHL?

I haven't been following too closely but every time I go and look at the boxscore, they're playing the Barons.
