If you were watching the one posted above then mine was doing the same thing. So it must be his end or the feed.

Figured that. Kind of annoying but beggars can't be choosers.

Briere and Giroux arrived in LuleŚ, Sweden, earlier today for a European Trophy game.
The home team arranged a small press conference, video at: http://www.luleahockey.se/Nyheter/Vi...na-over-Lulea/

What would be considered good stats for a goalie and an offensive defensman in college hockey? You don't see PPG as high as in the CHL, right? What about goalies? I'm seeing a lot of > .910 in last year's stats, but with so many different leagues and teams, I'm not sure how team or league dependent that is.

Anyone hear of / see Frederik Gauthier?
I haven't had a chance to see him play yet, so I was wondering what people thought...

I know Gostibehere's ppg during his rookie season was the same as Jake Gardiner's ppg during his rookie season in the NCAA. His ppg was also a bit better than Justin Schultz as a rookie. It appears his numbers suggest top 4 potential.

Funny you brought him up. After reading the recent red line report, I thought he has flyers draft pick written all over him.

Depends on the team and system really. With Stolarz, he's a 18/19 year old goalie playing college hockey. I wouldn't put too much stock into his numbers this season. But judging by past numbers of goalies at the school, I would say anything north of .900 would be the benchmark for him.

A college defenseman also depends on the system and quality of players around him. I would say 30-35 points from him would be pretty good over the course of a 40(ish) game season. But in reality, as long as he is progressing from last year (and it definitely sounds like he is), that's what really matters.

Difference is those other two mentioned are 6'1" while Ghost is 5'11". Thats not to say he can't be a top 4 guy in the NHL some day but i think thats what most people believe is holding him back.

Height isnt his problem at all. People are saying he really needs to bulk up weight wise. He is too thin and small.

How is Gostisbehere pronounced? I'm probably saying it wrong. Hopefully it's easy to explain.

Laughton made the Team OHL for the Subway Super Series. That being said though, somehow Cousins didn't make it.

Right. Which is why I said top 4 potential.

i know what you said. i was quoting you but not responding to you. i was just letting some of the other people on here know what many consider to be Ghost's limiting attribute which is his size.

Is it just me, or does anyone else think the Phantoms are even worse since Terry Murray was given the head coaching job? I thought they would be much better defensively and that he'd help Schenn and Couturier take the next step in their games. Instead, the team has looked incredibly disorganized and completely unaware of his game plan. I know it's early in the season, but I find it disturbing that not only do Schenn and Couturier seem to be stuck in neutral, but the two defenders who were expected to be on the big club (Gustafsson and Bourdon) look incredibly inept under Murray.

I'd say a system like Murray's is a huge adjustment. The 2 games I saw Couturier and Schenn were obviously steps ahead of everyone else. Bourdon didn't play either of those games, and Gus isn't even on the top PP

One thing I didnt like, was that Murray split up on the NHL forwards. Couturier, Schenn, Wellwood and Rinaldo were on 4 different lines, spreading the talent too thin

I have not had the opportunity to watch a game yet this year unfortunately, but from what I am reading and the little bits of highlites and looking at the stats I've been surprised by a few things. 1) Couts offensive numbers so far are pretty poor IMO. Its early I guess but 2 points and a minus 2 so far is not what I expected to see. 2)I hate seeing that many minuses on a team that is pretty stacked at D 3) The lines seem very weird 4)Not only did Bordson make the team over guys I thought he wouldn't, but he has played every game. Did the Duluthian step it up in the offseason or does he just play Murrays style?
