Of course he scored. =) Beautiful pass by Himelfarb though.

Already on his first shift he got the chance to rush down the corridor and fire a pretty good wrist shot. He looked pretty nifty throughout the game even though he didn't get too much done. Nice to see that he got a long shift when LHC played 5 on 3.

Everyone is talking about him now. Can't recall any 16 year old ever in swedish hockey this hyped. Not even Nylander jr and he's dad was not just any dad...

It's kind of funny, actually. A few weeks ago, barely anybody knew who he was. I've been trying to get discussions started everywhere (not just here on HF) for almost a year without result, so I'm just super happy he's finally getting the attention he deserves!

I still really doubt he will get to play any SEL games this season but I doubt it less than before yesterdays game. Not because of the goal but because he obviously was the junior player who was given best conditions to play his own game. He played with the only two regular, offensive forwards on the team and he played on the powerplay -- for example he played an entire 5 on 3 for a minute or so.

So my guess is that he is now first in line if LHC needs a call up from the juniors.

Landeskog and Pääjärvi? But I agree, he's getting a lot of attention, which is absolutely warranted.

Vrana is a very entertaining player to watch. Great sniper. Plus, he has vision to make plays.

I really hope he will become the next great Czech player. So far he has looked very promising.

Yeah I get that, but those countries weren't hockey powers like the Czech Republic. Just goes to show how far the development program has fallen.

TV-pucken was a tournament for 16-year olds that year I believe.

A potential top 10-pick in the 2014 draft if you ask me. Talk about some offensive skills on this kid. His defensive game has really improved since he came to Sweden and he still produces in the offensive zone, which is impressive. I believe that he has a good shot to take a spot on the men's team roster next season, given that he continues to develop.

And yes, he is the nephew of Jaroslav Bednar.

One of the producing players on Linköpings men's team has been released from his contract due to "personal problems" and today Vrana participated on the men's teams practice...

Is he playing over guys like Nermark and Fish? Or many injuries?

Nermark was already on the team, but the most logical would be to bring back Fish. But a local journalist just twittered: looks like it could be Vrana/Almtorp/Weinhandl tomorrow".

And, now it's confirmed - Vrana will make his SEL debut tomorrow against Rögle.

I think Fish is also already on the team (he appears to play for both teams if possible and needed).

But anyway, Vrana is not covering for the departing Jämtin, but for Salmonsson (who's sick).
